Hey everyone. 25 year old INTP here from Orange County, California. Found out I was INTP in Psych class 6 years ago. They had us raise our hands to see how many of which type there are and, of course, it was only me and one other person in a large forum class... of course I never attempted to talk with the other.
Since then I have taken the test online and always test INTP much to the dismay of my ENTJ mate. Hehe. (My P needs to be a J!? Go to hell I say!)
Just hope to talk to like-minded folks etc. and I can't do that until I say the mandatory 'hi' can I? :D

Hello and welcome.
No need to be a J around here. There are a lot on the border though....

Well that's what you get for not being specific in your profile :P. Okay now I'm just making excuses for myself.
Allow me to rephrase: Oh good, there are more INTP's in Orange County :).

What am I doing with my life?? Trying to get out of debt. (I should go back to school) Job? I do Accounting crap (boring). I am living with my parents at the moment because of the debt, plus rent is expensive as hell here in CA. GF? Nope, I'm a homo-INTP lol. Been with him for 6 years since I was 18. Regardless of all of your political/religious views hope you guys don't avoid talking with me for that reason. My entire family is religious and Republican anyway so I myself am very tolerant of 'you' conservatives. lol JK

No, I live in Palmerston North....near the bottom of the North Island, and I'm 25 as well. I hate the city of Auckland, it is like a spreading disease at the top of our country.
Orange county is where Disneyland is right?

I drove by there last weekend, got year long passes to the zoo/animal park so I can laugh at the monkeys. lol

Nothing beats laughing at monkeys! NOTHING!!! Oh man, I could watch them for hours
flan2dave

I thought for a second you meant you drive by San Clemente. I would have felt so close!
I don't get the fascination with monkeys. Not that I disapprove, mind you. What is it that so intrigues you?

26 Oct 2004, 07:51 AM
No doubt snarled! Never met anyone else who thought monkeys were funny like I do. Hehe, cool... must be one of those weird INTP things.

Hmmm flan no think funny...
We just must be weird snarled.
Flan - I go to San Diego often and hang out in San Juan Capistrano... I like that Adobe restaurant near the mission.

I just thought that EVERYONE liked monkeys. O.K. They are like humans. But they are smaller. And dumber. And hairy. And they do stupid things. And nimble, oh my yes. If that is not a recipe for hilarity, I don't know what is!
InsurgentAlpha
26 Oct 2004, 07:59 AM
I dunno what intrigues me, I guess their intelligence... and because they are just funny to watch. My Anthropology class once went to the zoo to watch Gorillas and there were these football jock dumbasses waving their arms at the gorillas... one of the gorillas threw it's feces right at one of their faces... now that is classic.

San Juan is a hop skip away (10 minutes), our visits to the Adobe restaurant can assuredly coincide if the desire strikes you. You can teach me the art of monkey zoo comedy.

I don't think I'm the typical INTP. Being with an ENTJ for so long has allowed me to extrovert more so than I used to.. though it wears me out. But I've never knowingly met another one so who knows.

26 Oct 2004, 08:13 AM
Shit man...I'd crash within minutes of driving there. Have you been to a country that drives on the other side of the road. All good till you encounter a roundabout. When I was in the States, I'd go to cross the road, look the wrong way and almost get hit by a bus.

I got in my first accident at San Juan, while waiting to turn left somebody reared me. Left turns, San Juan, car troubles, it all connects. *mystical moment*

Hmmm, hard to say really, I take it back.
Also hard to say how INTPish I am, if anything the group here shows it runs through a wider range of characteristics than a MBTI description would suggest.

Oh we are really good sometimes. Other times he is loud and draws attention to me in public or complains about not going out on weekends sometimes.
If we are researching something and trying to come up with a solution we work well together, even though he wont give me all the credit I feel I deserve. ENTJs decide what ENTJs decide regardless of your input... at least mine does. Being bipolar doesn't always help him either and I have to not blow up and realize when he is having an episode or something since it's not really his fault.

My father is one. It took a few years but now we relate like nothing else. I'm perfectly happy leaving him in charge and learning from his Te and Ni.

Actually due to his problem his is in jail right now for prescription forgery. He went to the emergency room Sunday night because his stomach was hurting real bad. He is really intelligent and was studying to be an MD. so he know about medications. He didn't agree with what the Dr. prescribed so him being him, decided to change it. Now he has his first felony for such a stupid issue. Now he's going to court tomorrow and haven't been able to talk to him at all today. Anyway that's my drama and the main reason I am bored and found this website. heh.
