Greetings, everyone.
Wishing you are well around the world.
I've only known of my INTP type for two years. As a result, I have been refining my life. Indeed, the more I know; the more I grow. With this overhaul, I can now be authentic. I trust myself more than ever before, and I am doing everything possible to create a fertile environment for the real me. In essence, the source of power is coming by embracing my uniqueness as part of only 1% of the entire population.
So, drop a line a tell me how cool it has been to re-blossom. It is like a re-birth, you know.
Meanwhile, I salute and look forward to "hanging out" with you ... ;-).
Cheers,
Hera

I love your username. Why did you choose it?
Same here, I am still in the process, to be honest. It's hard when your family wants you to be cuddly, etc.
I would love to go to NY and I might get to this coming week, but we will see.
You know, along those lines (INTP lines, I mean), one of my best friends was talking about how I talk much more online than in real life, I immediately thought back to this forum.
Welcome and don't forget to check out our Women's section (yay, I advertised and assumed things on the first try and I don't feel ashamed ^_^).

P.S.- I am just kidding by the way, I am just on a sugar high ^-^

Greetings, Aven.
In Greek mythology, Hera was a queen and the wife of Zeus. She was a mystical creature - a woman who used her intellect to achieve her goals. It is written that she was deceitful. However, I think she was just misunderstood.
As written by Bertolt Brecht in Galileo, "I have no patience for a man, who does not use his brains to fill his belly."
Hera conceived with and without Zeus ...
Anyhoo, thank you for invitation to the women's forum. Already, I checked it out and will post accordingly.
In any case, what is it like to be an INTP in Neptune (Florida)?
Cheers,
Hera

All this time living in Neptune and I didn't know it was Florida...lol. Currenty I reside where int does...the state anyway. But I am Mexican.
I was more wondering why Hera and not Athena (my personal favorite), but you already answered my question up there.
I agree about Hera though, a lot of what you see in the television (which is why I don't watch it) portrays her as a very deceiving goddess, but with someone who cheats on her as much as Zeus did...

Not too bad. Lotsa museums. If you can go when its not crowded - the Smithsonian is an INTP temple.
For the crowds on the Metro (subway); I just slap on some headphones and read the paper = my own world.

It's always good to be wise. However, it is great to be wise and in charge. So, yeah, Zeus may have cheated on Hera, but she had the last laugh.
Cheers,

I used to think that the Science, Industry and Business Library on 34th and Madison was an INTP temple. However, it has turned into a Starbuck's without the coffee.
Central Park is the same way.
One day, New York will break off into the Atlantic Ocean like the Titanic because way too many are on this ship.

Hello Hera, nice to see another new yorker!
I'm originally from the city, but I moved upstate 5 years ago. That's the one thing that sucks about the big apple, it spoils you. This place feels like a big strip mall in comparison :P

And Zeus produced Athena without Hera or anyone else.
Nope!
"An Oracle of Gaea then prophesized that Metis first child would be a girl but, her second child would be a boy that would overthrow Zeus as had happened to his father and grandfather. Zeus took this warning to heart. When he next saw Metis he flattered her and put her at her ease. Then with Metis off guard Zeus suddenly opened his mouth and swallowed her. This was the end of Metis but, possibly the beginning of Zeus's wisdom.
"
Zeus was a moron...
Welcome Hera!

Welcome Hera!
Still gave birth to Athena though ! I don't suppose Hera mourned Metis's demise...
According to legend, Metis, the goddess of prudence, was the first love of Zeus. At first she tried in vain to escape his advances, but in the end succumbed to his endeavor, and from their union Athena was conceived. Gaia warned Zeus that Metis would bear a daughter, whose son would overthrow him. On hearing this Zeus swallowed Metis, the reason for this was to continue to carry the child through to the birth himself. Hera (his wife and sister) was outraged and very jealous of her husband's affair, also of his ability to give birth without female participation. To spite Zeus she gave birth to Hephaestus parthenogenetically (without being fertilized) and it was Hephaestus who, when the time came, split open the head of Zeus, from which Athena emerged fully armed.
Zeus was the greatest of the Greek pantheon; but not as great as he who hung on a tree and went below for wisdom. And has Huginn & Muginn sitting on his shoulders at this minute.

How do you keep your zeal in the concrete confines of New York?
My energy levels go up and down. Sometimes I thrive off of the energy of the city, other times I recoil from it, and hide away in my apartment.
How about you?

My energy levels go up and down. Sometimes I thrive off of the energy of the city, other times I recoil from it, and hide away in my apartment.
How about you?
With September 11th being over, I still feel a hollowness in New York. Since I saw the towers collapse with my own eyes, I can still feel the spirits from that day. Of course, I did take the train into the World Trade Center cavern and have been downtown a bunch of times. So, I am healed (as much as possible). Thank God. Still, the energy in New York is so ... The surroundings have changed or improved, yet that vacancy remains familiar.
I've grown immensely since then, and I am refining my outlook about my New York experience. Once you take away the tourist traps (which you can only visit so many times) and the celebrity tangent, it takes a lot of energy to keep it interesting. There are walls to the city, which makes it very confining.
Yesterday, I found this website: www.esapemaker.com, which is a great resource for trips to hot spots in the Northeastern states. It's very comprehensive. So, check it out.
Furthermore, as the winter approaches, I don't want to wear boots. Having spend the last two winters in California, I crave the Pacific Coast. There is something about wearing flip-flops all year 'round ... being a skip away from the beach ... and trees forever. Anyhow, stay tuned ...
Remember, I am INTP, and I get bored very easily. Also, my right and left brains play tug-of-war with me all the time. New York is my left and Los Angeles is my right. In essence, both are very demanding.
