You know what I'm talking about. That frightening, paralyzing, aweful sense of boredom...
Problem is, I pretty much just follow my nose with no real agenda or plan to do anything but something different...and this time I've thought about trying to do it a little differently. But I don't really know how to go about it any other way.
What do you do when the boredom monster finds itself on your back again?

Hmmm. I used to smoke pot. :( Say goodbye to motivation.

I know exactely what your talking about Johnny, I'll actually gat all geared up and ready to do something, anything...but am then at a lost.
I find music helps me alot here.
Buy a new C.D (something you normally wouldn't listen to), and play it at a loud volume while you go for a drive (to a different beach/park/town)?

I find a new game to play, watch the science channel, go to town and look for somethin cool to buy, or possibly sleep :D

Determine three exciting and dangerous things to do, and one bland and benign one.
Write them on little slips of paper and put them in a hat.
Draw one out and do what it says...

Driving around seems to be a common thing among INTPs... I do it too, and so does an INTP friend of mine, although I don't know any other people who do it... anyone else?
Arrrr... "Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear." So true.

A more generalized version of driving would be calling it curious wandering, which one could do in the bookstore, on the net, or...while driving.
For tonight, I took a second tour on the deviant art website. Interesting site that is, I'm not sure why I developed a taste for it. Intrigued by the unusual and talent-oriented communities perhaps.

I do the aimless driving thing. I've found a lot of interesting places like that.
Often I like to find somewhere where I can see the horizon and just walk. It is great for stimulating ideas.

I like that song.
I'd probably just tell him to bugger off. I've got stuff to do. And then she'd probably tell me all of her problems and good friend that I am I'll probably listen to it. And silently wish she'd leave.

I usually don't acknowledge enuui's existance.
Probably because I confuse it with lonliness.
Wow, I'm overly decjected.
In other cases when I do realize that boredom reigns, I sing (provided I'm sequestered), or compose song lyrics/poetry/prose etc.

I sit down somewhere with a mug of tea. Then I sit on the internet thinking about what to do.
Then I go and sand a large branch off a tree. Then I go and sit with another mug of tea and think what to do again.
Just like now o_o

If I'm bored... I sleep. Then I'll wake up, maybe read something... then probably sleep again. I'm not saying it helps, but it's something to do.

Ah, sweet boredom..
Mostly just listening to music, surfing the internet, fantasizing, writing, sometimes going for a walk and aimlessly walk around... And then turn into a zombie and kill people... yeah... good days..

Hey I thought I was the only one that did this.

Ok,
I have wondered if the little piles of unfinished projects around my house were like 'bank accounts' of things to do in case I ever ran out of things to do. Its like I want to know there is ALWAYS something to do, and maybe thats why I can't tackle everything there is to do. Gawd, what would happen if I really ran out of things, those piles are almost like a security to me, and ensure that if i ever totally get bored, there would be something to do.
When bored: I will often try to clean, or do a project, shop online, watch tv, drive around, post online, write at Xanga, have a nap.
