I personally like darts and bought an authentic dart board from England, with the fancy dart flights & stems. I did start to get good at them, but haven't done them in a while now.

Before that, I used to play pool, bowl, pinball. I also used to go to those Bingo games that churches put on, and have won 8 out of 11 times. Its because some of the balls ARE lighter than others and will come up more often, so I knew to chose the slide boards with particular numbers. But I can be lucky in games of chance, and like slots, sort of get to use intuition there.

Darts are cool, poker I seem to be good at without wanting to, Monopoly I kick everyone's butts...but I get bored with them. I like card games (dominoes rock though), the type that you make into a house ^.^, dominoes are good for that too.

I love poker and I'm good at it. Especially NO- limit Texas Hold'em

I like pool but I'm really out of practice.

My favorite boardgame is probably risk, and I'm very good, though I have a tendency to let my friends live a little too long, I'm not quite ruthless enough.

Dominoes is also fun.

I also lack the killer instinct in risk. Board games are great, video games are awesome, billiards I'm not too shabby at, darts I'm ok at. I like Spades and Blackjack as far as card games go.

We have a dart board and pool table in the basement.

I also like the video game where you try to make 5 rows of 21 and are scored by how fast you can do it - I don't remember what it's called and it's usually in one of those multi-game screens that sits at the end of the bar. I can play that game for hours by myself.

I'll gamble - blackjack and roulette mostly. I'll play poker if it's friendly.

We'll play Scrabble or do a puzzle on our nights alone. She likes to play Scene It and it's OK. If I'm ... uhh ... feeling particularly social I'll join in on a game of Cranium.

Trivial Pursuit rules on my side of the family. A card game called Setback (which is a lot of fun) is on hers.

I'm great at all of them. Or I suck. Depends on the night.

One of our favorite things to do when we have some extra cash is to go to Dave & Busters. We play the games that give out tickets. Last year we got 2 $50 gift certificates that we gave ouf as Christmas presents. Our last 2 DVD players have been from there, as well as several pint glasses and ashtrays. We gave a Playstation that we got from there as a wedding present last week.

I can walk into that place and have 1000 tickets in five minutes. We still have over 100,000 tickets saved (on a voucher).

Card games... BS, E.R.S, rummy, poker, and a few weird ones like Set and Fluxx, and also Magic... :nerd:
Board... Scrabble, Mancala, and Suicide Chess.
I'm decent at darts (like, I can choose which quadrant I want to hit, but not much more than that...)
I suck at pool, but rule at air hockey...

Wow, no one's really touched video games yet... here goes...
Diablo 1&2, Fallout 1&2, Snes rpgs on an emulator, classic fps (stuff by id) Crimsonland, and Stepmania (it's... um... DDR for computer... played with arrow keys instead of all that silly jumping around... :nerd:)

Hard not to keep score when you've got 8 multi-coloured balls still sitting on the table and your opponent's potting them on after the other as if there's no tomorrow.

(This is a description of my recent forays into the noble game of Pool!

A few beers consumed in rapid succession always enhances my accuracy and judgment of course...

I love that half-doz.-buzz 'magic zone' where you turn into a shark! Never seems to last for me though...

I love scrabble.

I also like Risk, but have nightmares about holding Europe.

Halo fiend...roll on Nov.!

Im quite good at pool. I don't gamble unless I know the odds are in my favor.
When I was younger I studied Roulette to see if I could find a system - my conclusion it is possible, all you need is a certain piece of equipment - a crystal ball.
The way to make money from Roulette is to own and operate the wheel.

Oh, I forgot one of my favorite games, Scategories. I love that game. It's amazing what people come up with, and it's also amazing how much more fun it is with a dirty mind.

A lot of games are more fun if no one keeps score... just play for the fun of it... some games are even more fun without any rules, either... Calvinball, anyone?

My brothers and I had a game like that. We used a football (American) and it was constantly "live". An incomplete pass was just a fumble. Lots of fun. Never knew who won.

We played kinda like soccer... only it was cross country, and you could hit the other people. The other game we played as kids was "let's throw rocks at each other!"

You seem to be getting away from games which are welcomed inside the pub by the jolliest of inn-keepers; so I can mention the only manly sport in which I truely excelled. ( I hate organised sport ). In British schools ( and I vaguely think French also, although they probably call it something different ) up to the age of about 14 we improvise, almost spontaneously, a game called 'British Bulldogs'. Basically ( actually there aren't any further subtleties ) half the boys in a yard line in the middle, and the rest starting from one wall try to get beyond them to the other wall smashing their way through. Punching and kicking are out, but not much else.

Obviously it helps build character.

Paintball sounds fun too.

I can see "Bulldogs" working in a pub context. One row starts in the middle of the pub and the other against the far wall.

Do they have to put down their beer glasses?

Over here we call it 'bullrush'. Slightly different but the same jist. You start with one person in the middle who would call out a name. If the summoned person makes it through to the other line they shout "BULLRUSH!" and that is everyone elses cue. Anyone tackled stays in the middle. Repeat. Good renown points for being the last guy left and still making it through everyone...

Yep...both our countries play League.

We played a version of that in scouts... it was like that, except you start with one guy in the middle, and people ran past him, and to get people to be on his side, he had to pick them up for a certain amount of time. It doesn't really work when you have 14 scared sixthgraders trying to dare each other into ganging up on one of the older scouts... like me... I'm glad I aged out.

Pub Games: Darts and Pool (though I'm not very good at either)

Games (not computer): backgammon, a bunch of board games (not very good at them, but I enjoy playing)

Favorite Game: Cribbage (fairly good at this one. I would say a strong mid-range player, but not quite an expert.)
