... but where do I get the money?

I'd like to leave this public shizite for a snooty, private school. But, yeah. That whole money thing is a problem. Financial aid only covers so much. My tuition here is payed for, but I'm still living paycheck to paycheck just to cover my measly living expenses. If i'm having this much trouble staying alive at an in-state public school, then I know that I would starve my first week at an Ivy.

Please help me! I need to know the secret to social mobility! Simply deserving better isn't good enough. I don't want to play online poker and/or rob banks... So you all had better give me some ideas real quick like.

Also, if you would simply like to make a donation to the cause, then PM me and I can give you my mailing address (don't mail explosives)!

if you would simply like to make a donation[...]
Sure thing, ferunandesu! Simply supply me with your full legal name, your DOB, your SSN, your previous addresses/telephone numbers, the make and model of every car you've ever owned, your credit/debit card number(s) (and, naturally, the corresponding expiration dates and security code numbers), and, if you have time, an audio sample of your voice.

I'll send you the "donation" right away.

Go to the princetonreview.com, and read up on the University of Georgia!

As for that other dude who replied after the reply that I'm replying to... No, I will not disclose that information. However, if you would like to send me your information, then I would gladly cancel the home invasion that I've planned for your residence.

Yes. I still have yet to scrub off the "A" for "GO DAWGS!"

But... No. There is one and only one horny eccentric, and his name is me.

Yeah, your only recourse is to take out loans, probably.

Why do you make the assumption that an expensive private school would attract more "eccentric" types?

Why do you question me? Are you me?

Anyway, there's bound to be more than one. I've read the reviews. I've seen the movies. That's enough.

Is UGA that bad?? I went to possibly the snootiest private university in the country and will be attending grad school at your university this fall.

Do you have a lot of friends here in Athens? Real friends? Not the ones that you have to pretend to be friends with because they're not assholes?

Are you sure you wouldn't get merit-based aid at a mediocre private school? If you stood out there, the professors would love you . . . maybe.

Professors don't like standouts... Professors like for people to STFU for one of two reasons: #1 They're idiots, or #2 They're smarter, and thus threatening.

I just want to go to a fancy, private school so that I can adapt an asshole, redneck persona. I think that it would work well with the sheltered, high society women.

In my experience, not all professors are assholes, and some really seem to like students who have some kind of academic ability.

And I'm afraid that the women at most private colleges will be neither sheltered nor high society. I almost enrolled at a highly-ranked small private liberal arts college that offered me a generous scholarship, but in the end I decided on a larger public school because I would have gone insane among the conservative, drunken, Southern rich people.

You can ignore all that engineering crap and hang out in the physics and math departments like me. It's a decent environment.

I think this might be the biggest load of bullshit I've read all week. I have edited it to make more sense:

Professors don't like painfully unsocialized dickheads... Professors prefer that they STFU for two reasons: #1 They're idiots, or #2 They may be intelligent, but have a chip on their shoulder or a stick up their ass.

How could a school which is only ranked 5th by US News and World Report possibly be the snootiest private university in the country? I could understand how you'd think that if it were 1st or 2nd or maybe even 3rd...but 5th? Come on, who are you kidding?

US News and World Report is getting payed off...

I go to one place, and I see Cal - Berkeley ranked #4 in the world (ahead of Oxford and Cambridge). US News and World Report places them in a tie for 20th in the US (with Emory... *shivers*). It's no suprise that the public schools are ranked significantly lower than what they should be...

This only supports my case. Snootier schools with big reputations can charge more for admission and attract more rich, elitist students and, as such, said schools can then pay US News and World Report more.
