I really love overcast days, I seem more energised when the weather, as other people label it, is "depressing". The sun seems to leech out my energy. Stormy weather is by far my favourite. I have an intp friend who is also like this. Is this another of our characteristics?

It depends on other factors - like if I'm going to working outside in it or not.
Generally, sunny days are like socializing, I might enjoy it for a little while but it tends to quickly wear me out. Overcast days seem better for motivation - but I do need to see the sun occasionally or I'll get moody.
My favorite weather is when it's raining - thunderstorms are the best!

I love rain, fog , anything considered dreary. Overcast is good.

Rainy, so long as it's also darker out. It's weird when the sun is shining bright and it's raining. Plus the air feels a lot better when it's a rainy day.

So no one likes sunny days? Use some logic people!!!

Hot sunny days = sexy women out on the beach!

Keep the sun away from me. (Beach...?! :P )

I love snowy, rainy, cloudy, dark "melancholic" days. Most people get the blues by this kind of weather, however I feel the world is prettier like that. :)

Warm sunny days, all year long. I don't tire of them.

Sexy women on the beach??

I only like deserted beaches where I can enjoy the sound of the waves without anyone screeching in the background. Also, I've been trying to learn to surf and hate to be at a crowded beach with a bunch of guys trying to show off that end up snaking you at every turn.
But a deserted beach on a rainy day - beautiful!

I love rainy days, but not too many in a row. Two days of rain and darkness followed by a day of nice weather would be ideal.

Are there any other athletes here? In soccer, I loved to play in the cold and rain. I hated wind though. Also, I prefered away games where I could become someone else in a sense. Home games I was too nervous and felt I was pigeonholed into being the shy nice guy on the field. That all changed with away games.

P.S. - Very good thread here, I've always noticed this about myself.

Fog is one of my favorites. Thunderstorms are cool when I'm indoors. (Yes, I'm somewhat scared of being struck by lightning.) Ordinary sunny days are okay, but uninteresting...I'd probably take a moderate temperature, humid, cloudy day over a dry sunny day, but a sunny hazy day is at least as good as the cloudy one. Morning mist rocks. Partly/mostly cloudy days with "fingers of God," a dimmed Sun through altostratus or altocumulus, or towering cumulonimbus/proto-cumulonimbus beat a crystal-clear sky by a longshot for aesthetic effect. Snow under streetlights, where there's this strobe-like effect, can be pretty neat as well, though I don't care generally for cold weather.

I love that 'rain' smell off hot asphalt... just before a storm is about to break. I much prefer being slightly cool - it seems to wake me up and I feel more alert. Hot, sunny days just seem to drain me.

I despise wind.

I like nice cool. clear nights when you can sit outside with someone, look up at the stars and moon and have a nice intellectual chat.

I love overcast and rain. I thrive in it. It probably has something to do with having grown up in San Diego and having stupid, monotonous sunny weather day-in day-out.

I like sunshine, warmth. I hate cold, overcast, wind and rain. My mood definately goes down in winter, rises in summer.

I think I may have that, the change in my mood is huge. I feel very fatigued and more negative in the winter. It's hard for me to get things done, and I usually drop a lot of activities. It's been happening since high school.

But maybe it's my hatred of the sensation of feeling cold. I either stay cooped up inside all the time or go outside and feel miserable.

Stormy, overcast, miserable days. I love them!

It's rather nice being in Northern Japan, I've seen two sunny days in the last three weeks, and I stayed indoors during those days. Everything's better when overcast and cloudy. I'll go camping or trekking through the mountains here during a typhoon, before I will during the sunny-miserable days.

There is a BIG difference. Winter means waking up in the cold and dark
when I really would rather be sleeping. It's easier to wake up when there is warmth and natural light.

Dark sky, harsh winds, raining heavily and snowing,
Oh my god, the nuclear war is here !
Hehe... probably my Ti geared a little too much

Anyways, springs, autumns, with sceneries of green open grass fields, gives u a feeling of taking up that six string and start singing, ahh... peaceful mother nature,
I love it !

Cold, windy, overcast. Despise the sun. Rain is ok, but I don't like getting my clothes wet. I do like being out in the rain in the first place though. Snow is great, although I don't ski. Walking in the middle of nowhere with no one around you on a cold moonlit night with wind blowing snow in interesting patterns and wolves howling like natural angelic figures of purity and life...sounds like heaven to me.

I share your sentiments, cjs55... It's the experience of those darker days that appeals to me the most. Gusts of cold wind, the soft sensation of mist or light rain, watching the subtle patterns in the clouds and hearing the rustling of trees. All in that beautiful muted light.

Heat is something intolerable for me. I don't like being under direct sunlight for long, because the feel of radiated heat irritates me. Even moderately warm weather saps my energy quickly, and makes me less agreeable around other people. It's a strange way to be, considering that I spent 9 years of my childhood living in a /desert/ country, but even then I always kept near air-conditioners. So sunny, summer days are completely out of the question.

Cold, on the other hand, boosts my energy level significantly. I seem to be less sensitive to it than others around here... I was rather surprised at people's reactions to 'mild' weather when I moved here from Canada, when I'd happily wear short sleeves without a jacket in the middle of winter, if it wasn't below freezing point. My friends considered me crazy, of course. Storms, wind, cold rain... All of it is thoroughly enjoyable. Violent weather relaxes me, because I can lose myself in just feeling it sweep across the world around me.

Wow, kinda scary Mealz. You described my favorite weather conditions. I never thought that they could relate to my type.

I like rain and overcast... but I like it sunny if it's not too warm. Variety seems to be what I get, so I deal wth that.

I love storms as well. I think it's that sadistic observer side of me that just wants to watch and see what happens.
