I have a problem. Most everything to me is viewed as a system. When I have a problem with that system, rather than fix it, I dump the entire thing and start anew. I would rather do that than work on what is currently there. This applies to everything. Games, solving equations, programming, Linux, all relationships with people (including personal), current projects and hobbies, jobs, clothing style, organisation, school, router configuration, Live Journal, online Forums, and etc. Most of the time, I don't even decide to try again from scratch, I just drop it. I have thought about this for years, and have had no revealations. Even though this is my last post here, I would appreciate some feedback.

Well... what is wrong with this "system" (forum) that you don't like? Oh wait you aren't posting anymore... so you can't answer.
I don't like this system of no response, goodbye thread.

Just don't take this to its logical conclusion and kill yourself if a small thing is wrong with your life (heh.) There must be a happy compromise somewhere.

what is wrong with the system? and I have taken similar actions on web forums before.. sometimes I regretted it.. sometimes I didn't(I think I suppressed any thoughts on the matter though..)
edit-- http://www.intpcentral.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=24048#24048
Sometimes it can be hard to not take things personally on the web... I used to be more sensitive but at some point I changed and now I take things more in stride then ever.

I'm sorry to see you go... I'd like you to stick around. But you know what is best for you.
You guys, I don't think you are funny... by signing up, we are not commiting ourselves to staying here forever. We should do whatever we feel is better for our personal growth. My personal opinion is that we should respect that and grant that right to each other. But maybe that's just me.

Born to lose... or perhaps raised too loose. Oh, well.
At least you come off like an INTP :nerd:
I don't like that reaction, and if I was Atticus I would be ready to argue and go off ranting from a response like that.
I almost feel like I should do that for Atticus now that he / she has left.
But I won't since I'm not in an arguing mood, and I don't really want to bother turning Hush against me, just for the sake of sticking up for a no-longer existant forum member.
And of course, this may have been Atticus's last post, but that doesn't mean he is not going to read the replies to it. It probably would have been better to say it was his last thread, and then post a few more times in acknowledgement of the friendly goodbyes.
Anyway Atticus, man, bro, mate, dude, nice knowing you, even though I didn't really. See you round (or not)

I wasn't attempting to be cruel either I was just turning his point on him so he would realize he shouldn't leave for his given reason. When I reread it it seemed like I was making fun of him...
I'm still curious to know what happened though.

I posted a link to the post earlier in this thread which sort of explains why.

I agree with Vaga. It's not just you anymore ^_^
Even though I sometimes miss some of the older posters who don't post anymore, I think I will stick around for a bit still.

as I mentioned earlier in this thread which had a link.
anyway, here is an actual 'quote' of why he left:
I can't remember why I would be too embarassed to come back... could it have been NGene's thou-art-dumb flame I recieved? I left and came back with a different name, maybe I'll do it again.
File, when you read this, just delete my account, and don't bother with a warning. The inability to login will tell me all I need to know.

He didn't leave right after NGene's comment , he left when his intro post got no responses, and he bumped it up complaining everyone is trying to ostracize him.
