I went to drink and came back dry,
I drove into a flaming sky,
And pondered my existance.

And when upon my homeward way,
The red surrendered to the gray,
I questioned my insistance.

And as I pass by concrete walls,
Another empty mem'ry falls,
Into my reminiscence.

Twas all for naught? I loathe the thought
That all my "outs" are marred by bouts
Of wasted time and distance.

Wasted dreams of joy and love,
"You know the ones I'm thinking of."
Exceed beyond abundance.

On and on again it echoes,
Days and weeks all ebb and flow
To chasms of redundance.

I certainly think that poem is of higher caliber than most on typical poem-websites. This inspires me to write more poetry :D. Good job.

Was it better, would you say, then the poems I posted here previously?

Wow, that actually made sense (to a large extent literature classes convinced me poetry is necessarily befuddling unless an inordinate amount of time is spent analyzing it. Again, school proving its worthlessness). I liked it.
