Minor Question

It seems odd to me that "The World" is in the Outer Rim with "Purgatory", "Rants and Raves", and "Mature Audiences Only" instead of Life, the Universe and Everything.

Ive always wondered about this but forget to ask. Is this intentional? If so, why?

I guess the ones in Life, the Universe etc, express the interior life, whilst the World and Purgatory are exterior. But then Rants n' Raves are fairly personal...

Then again, the category used to be called "flamethrower" long ago. My guess is that it has something do with that: the discussions there might be considered controversial and heated by some, hence the same category. And the name.

I don't know, I wasn't here when this forum was created.

It seems like an unfortunate necessity to me. There is very little that gets as heated as quickly on an internet forum as talking about politics or "world issues." As such, it's probably best to confine such discussions to the Outer Rim rather than have them in with all the friendlier threads of Life, the Universe and Everything.
