I was in Libya last year on a work assignment and ran across this sign in the airport. I just had to take a picture of it. The translation into English is priceless.

Heh...I'm quite into signs too. I remember a couple of photos I took on a trip to India 14 years ago or so. One sign outside a Hindu temple said "No admittance to women with their monthlies". Another sign up outside a camel farm had curious cartoon-like pictures of camels doing their thing :)

Nothing covert, I assure you .

The company I work for was sub-contracted to assist with the implementation of some large IBM computer systems. One was for the Central Bank of Libya and the other was for the General Electric Company of Libya (nothing to do with GE). It was a very eye-opening experience for me. Quite a culture shock for this naive Canadian. And the drivers! :horror: I thought I was going to die every time we had to go somewhere.

I forgot to mention, the green box at the top of the picture says the following:

(Wines and drugs are total destruction weapons. Hashish is like the bacteriological and chemical weapons and the atomic bomb. Person who deal therewith he seems like he takes a weapon from the enemy and do explode it inside his country.)

The Revolution Leader
I kid you not.
