Guess what? It's snowing! 8O

Every year I always look forward to the first snow like a kid waiting for Christmas. And now I'm all giddy...too bad it's still dark outside.

For you people in colder areas, do you like snow too?
I find that the snow helps lift my mood a bit, because it lightens up the ground. And it's beautiful too.

So now, my friends, I'm going to throw my depression out the window. It's officially winter! <insert snowball-throwing smiley here>

I love the snow. Winter is so much fun!

That's funny that you are just now getting snow in Sweden. We've already had snow for about 6 weeks and I'm in Arizona!

Whoa...I didn't even know that you get snow in Arizona! I thought that was desert or something. :D
(Arizona is somewhere between California and Texas, right? Excuse my poor knowledge of America.)

Yes, but mainly because I live in such a cold area that snow = low pressure = not too cold. Snow is cool though (no pun intended). Really loved it when I was a kid. And I love blizzards.

Yeah Arizona borders California, Nevada, New Mexico.....and yeah it's mostly desert. I live in Northern AZ at an elevation of over 7,000 ft so it gets pretty cold here.

We got our first snow on Halloween, but it wasn't enough. We're supposed to get some this weekend. I love snow. Especially if there's a lot of it.

When I was younger I really enjoyed the snow. Then I spent three winters and learned to live without it. I was easy because although I missed the snow a bit, I did not miss the cold. Now I'm back up north and we haven't had any snow yet. It's in the 60's now and rainy. This fall has been very warm so far.

Yes, I know what you mean. I usually get a little happier when it starts snowing, same thing as when the sun starts coming out in spring.

Winter without snow is just cold, dark and wet.

I am planning my escape to Aruba as we speak.

It doesn't snow as much in Minnesota as our West Coast and East Coast counterparts on the same lines of latitude, because we're almost exactly the farthest state/province from any large non-freshwater body of water. But when the snow does come it sticks. We also don't get very good snowball, snowman, or snowfort snow because it gets cold a long time before it gets snowy. Although we should have had at least a little snow by now, it's almost Thanksgiving. I'm not too fond of the cold, but if I'm going to have cold I want the snow to at least make it halfway worthwhile. Everything seems so morbid when all the leaves have fallen, the grass is brown, and it's like 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

None yet in my part of Missouri... we had some light sleet a few weeks ago, but that's been it so far.

I only like snow on Christmas, and an occasional snow fall. Last year my whole campus was frozen over. A girl in my theatre class broke her wrist from falling on the ice. I think that it is supposed to be a mild winter this year, where I live.
