You won't believe it but take a look at this:
A HUSBAND and wife arrested in the British terror raids allegedly planned to take their six-month-old baby on a mid-air suicide mission.

Life is cheap to them.
The husband will be getting his virgins in heaven... I wonder what the wife will get?

Innocent until proven guilty, heard they've released one guy that was arrested already (without charge).

Sort of ties in on the thread of dying for your ideals.
Taken one step farther ... making people who have no choice die for them too.

Perhaps, but to even suspect a couple of planning on using their baby on a mission, speaks volumes.

Yes they die for their ideals....
What are their ideals?
Isn't their some other way to express their grieviances?
It's totally fucked up. We don't live in a dictatorship here, you can protest democratically and form groups.

Scotland Yard police are quizzing Abdula Ahmed Ali, 25, and his 23-year-old wife Cossor over suspicions they were to use their baby's bottle to hide a liquid bomb.
The theory is one of the reasons security chiefs are now insisting mothers taste babies' milk at check-in desks before allowing them to take bottles aboard flights.

I suppose, traditionally, the underdog feels that they have to resort to more drastic measures to fight the group that is on top at the moment.

If they really want to hold the world to ransom again, they can, they did it over cartoons, they should do it again....why resort to death and destruction?
Oh wait, the cartoon riots did involve death and destruction.

It doesn't help that they have that fucked up INFP as a leader.

He's like a Jesus figure to them.
That's the problem, they die for their cause and we are not fighting against a nation but terrorists that are plotting all over the globe, and terror cells that aren't linked practically but by an ideology.

Just pointing out that using peaceful democratic protest against an established democratic regime is doomed to failure.
The thing I despise most in the world is vivisection. No amount of non-violent protests or chatting to MPs will stop Tony Blair authorising the building of more torture-chambers; anymore than any of the protests over Iraq have forced/persuaded America and it's creatures to withdraw from Iraq and release any prisoners illegally held.

Clavers, that is where you and I differ, I support animal testing for medicines.
I deplored the fact that anti vivisectionists dug up the body of the granny that provided Guinea pigs for testing.

That has nothing to do with the argument, since this is merely an illustration of why peaceful protest doesn't have any effect.

Very uninteresting.
Nevertheless I disagreed because I think it disgusting to touch dead bodies; I don't care about the old cunt being dug up. Serve her right for being connected with the Mengelian trade.

So are you with the suicide bombers?
No, because their cause is not my cause, because I don't believe in indiscriminate murder of innocents as a tool, and because these tactics are self-defeating.
But I can recognise that if they do want to alter things, planting bombs is more effective than peacefully agitating one's rulers to change the law. Just practical politics. The basis of established power is coercion: only coercion will change minds if they are hostile to altering affairs.
***
And, ah:
The pair are among up to 23 suspects being questioned over a plot to bring down nine airliners over five US cities, killing thousands of people in the air and on the ground. The questioning of the group comes as British Government sources yesterday revealed many of those suspects posed as relief workers to travel to al-Qaeda training camps in Pakistan.
It has also been revealed that security services are secretly monitoring "dozens" of fresh plots involving hundreds of suspects which could be unleashed at any time.
One government source said at least 30 priority cases were under urgent investigation.
"All those 30 are seen as serious, determined attacks that will happen unless we stop them," the source said.
...
Links between suspects in the jet bomb plot and those behind the London 7/7 attacks have also come to light.
There are reports as many as five of those arrested attended the same terror training camp in Pakistan as two of the July 7 London suicide bombers.
If you know that people have been attending 'terror training camps', why not immediately kick them out of the country on that ground ?
