I have my eye on Southern New Hampshire, within striking distance of Boston. Northern Virginia, where I grew up, is great if you can afford it and don't mind the hot summers.

Have you ever been to either state? I can't say for Kentucky, but I traveled through the entire state of Tennessee the summer before last and found it beautiful. I actually began to look for work down there, because my family fell in love with south Tennessee. I recall reading that INTPs find small communities, nestled in the mountains and the midst of nature, alluring and acceptable. I think that any community that does not offer a great deal of tourism, with those qualities, somewhere I would want to live. Actually, I have always dreamed of telecommuting to a job, while living in the hills or mountains of some excluded community.
