I intro'd myself recently on the "heritage" INTP forum, but here it is again for a second round of self-immolation:

I discovered my type and learned about Myers-Briggs Typology in a company sponsored class recently. I work for a large company with global interests, so personal development courses that arm employees with "people skills" is important. When I found the evaluation indicated my personality preference was INTP, I searched further into the MB and Keirsey systems through the internet and found this forum - easy to get on and off without cluttering my inbox.

Besides towing the corporate line, I'm also an avid musician and supporter of the arts in my community...as much for personal development as for the reason that they are important. But engineering, science, and academic teaching professions are given the highest honor by my family, so I suppose it is not suprising that I would end up regarding the-pursuit-of-knowledge with the respect my preferred personality type demands.

Oh, and I love exploring and discussing philosophy...
