Hello!
I've just registered and thought to introduce myself first.
My name is Sonja, I'm 18 years old and from Germany. (English is my second language, so I might make some mistakes in grammar.)
I'm still going to school and can't seem to decide what to do afterwards.
I first heard of the MBTI while looking for career advice a few weeks ago. I took a test and got INTP as the result. After that I surfed the web for further information and also found this forum. I've been following it for some days and finally decided to become a member.
Well, I think that's all for now.

We have another German member, "Six".
I am learning German, admittedly rather slowly.
Hope you like it here!

Welcome! :hello:
If you don't know what to do with your life, you could always join us in taking over the world...or not. Anyway, you'll be able to get plenty of career advice around here, because it seems like most of us have tried half a dozen careers already. ;)
And don't worry about your English - I know quite a few native English speakers who can't write half as good as you do!

Hello Sonja :hello:
This is a good place to "think out loud" with other people who don't find that strange!
So what do you enjoy doing, now?
Grüß Dich :hello:
always wanted to try the "ß"... ;)
I am learning German, admittedly rather slowly.
come on... that's speaking like a true what we call a "Tiefstapler" over here

Hello, I wouldn't worry too much about grammar. It's something of a lost art in England at least. I never decided what I wanted to do and my job is rubbish, so keep thinking.

Sonja (or Six) ... in case I'm guessing incorrectly, would you tell me what "Tiefstapler" means? :)

Sonja (or Six) ... in case I'm guessing incorrectly, would you tell me what "Tiefstapler" means? :)
A modest person.
yeah, pretty much... but more of an unaccounted modesty... isn't there this idiom where you hide your light under... forgot what... someplace dark anyway ;)

Six,
Since you're there... would you also tell me, please, about your signature:
... coffee... sugar... ?

(Aaaah)
Sorry, I forgot half of that: tiefstapler is
someone expressing false modesty
- or, if they are shy, and not seeing that the world needs their gift:
someone hiding their light under a bushel
(And there's a song about it, that children learn, at Sunday school/camp/Brownies...)
tiefstapler is
someone expressing false modestyhm... false makes it sound too negative... It's meant more in a teasing way... ;) the bushel-thing sounds better
my coffee-sugar signature... it's the question what sweetens your coffee... the sugar or the stirring ? :)

Sonja,
I hope you realize that we're stopping by for friendly visits, hoping to see that you came back
Six: It sounds like German is full of little jokes that are teasing in a kindly way. Sonja, do you think that's so? My grandparents used to say, "Do you want to take a little cereal with your sugar?" ;) (they weren't German, though)
