NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Electronics giant Sony Corp. and another Japanese company have jointly developed a "paper DVD" that can store five times more data than a regular DVD and could offer foolproof security.

The paper disc, which was developed in cooperation with Japanese printing firm Toppan Printing Co., can hold up to 25 gigabytes of data, five times more than the current limit of 4.7 gigabytes for a standard DVD.......

This could be a very good thing to black-hat hackers, because they could store all of their information on these disks, and if the government stops by, they could just burn it or shred it!

Please, it's crackers, not hackers. Hackers 'hack' software together, e.g. Linux, open source software, and crackers break into systems to get data, install spyware, and other activities. There is a world of difference between the two.

Whatever happend to just breaking the DVD in a few pieces? Granted it'll leave more mess behind but you can easily screw it up beyond repair.

Hmm... these would be much cheaper to make, if you were planning to give them out free... but you'd probably need a special printer to make them, and I know you'd need a special drive to read them... so would they really be cheaper? Also... if they're 51% paper, what's the other 49%? Something stiff, because I bet they're worthless if you even bend them...
