White backgrounds burn my eyes.

a new style is in development.. slowly.. I changed it to a gray for now.. I agree the white was pretty bright and my contrast is pretty damn low(at 50%).

That's cool. White or light text on a dark background would be fabulous.
I'm talking even the text entry boxes.

most of the customization is pretty tedious... otherwise more changes would've been made by now.
