I'm confused. The article says it's probably "shuttle debris" or possibly ice, and they're delaying the trip back to earth to make sure it wasn't some critical part of the shuttle. Where is there any speculation that it's a UFO? I mean, beyond the very most literal sense of it being an object that is flying and cannot be identified.

Its a UFO because they don't know yet what it is. hence unidentified.

The radio stations really were calling it a UFO. And I guess thats what it is until they identify it. It looks like a flying saucer from a distance.
