On a side note, in the same week, a specialized form of stem cell therapy has helped a 37 year of women paralyed for 20 years walk again. As mentioned earlier stem-cell research was/has been used to cure paralysis, and then a therapeutic vaccine was found to stop HIV. However, within the same two months yet another breakthrough has been made: a scientific drug that, in lab tests, appears to cure tuberculosis.
