Every time "Geek Humor" comes back to the top of the Geeky Gadgets threads, I keep thinking that Vagabond is going to share some examples of jokes from GREEK.

I can't stand it anymore.

I'd like some jokes (fit-for-public ones) that maybe those who don't share your geography/culture/other language... maybe... wouldn't understand... or maybe we would.

Besides, if someone needs a joke explained to them (as is often true for me  ) that's funny, too.

"il pleut comme le vache qui pisse"

This isn't exactly what you were asking for, but when in high school I had a french teacher who was from france, and felt it her duty to inform the class the above is how it is commonly said in french that it is raining hard. Go ahead, translate it. (http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en) I found it rather funny anyway... :D

Yes! That is what I was hoping for. Thanks!

The temperate dropped, here... not so cold yet (hestitating to say it's only gotten down to around -20 C, because many don't... whatdoyouknow, the formula came back to me: -4 F... I think) - but the shift to "colder" can have us saying, "Il (ne) fait vraiment pas chaud."

(Why do so many people who live in a cold climate not own/wear long underwear, anyway??)

(Because they don't want to freeze their arses off?)

Thank you, jimkopelli - it was a typo. (This is the southern part of Canada - people can dress lightly and freeze, and survive, if they choose... but why?)
