This is a fascinating article/review about the biological basis for morality. It is sort of philosophy/psychology, but I thought it would fit in here.

how funny....I was just postulating about a 'sense of morality' (being a constant in morality) in the other morality vs. amorality thread and everyone was disagreeing with me. *meaningful look*

I've constructed theories on this with intuition alone. Evolutionary biology is easy to understand if you're totally off the scale in logical ability. :)

In brief, morality is a boon to the survival of a species at large, and therefore a positive selector.

huh none of us so far are immoral, but it seems nicely split in the amoral and moral corner with 9 and 19 respectively

Unfortunately, unless you have plans to become a messianic religious cult leader, like Christ, Mohammed or L. Ron Hubbard, there is no reason under the sun for others to base anything on your 'intuition'.
