Hey everybody,
This new forum is going to be used for development of features etc in this site. From time to time we'll post information about projects we're working on, and other things, to get feedback from you guys. Most of our projects don't really have anything directly to do with the forums but side projects, such as a better archive viewing system, possibly a small online game type thing, as well as a number of other things.
To help support this, we have implemented a new system tied to the forums but seperate from it, this system is called Labs. You may access it via http://intpcentral.com/labs
This labs system is tied to your forum account, so you may login with the same account you use here, and you may view all current projects and apply to help us test/develop these projects (if we don't already have everyone we want). The reason we do it this way is that some projects are space or load sensitive when we first test, so we don't want everyone jumping on board at once (for instance, free email account, or file storage, or any other service such as that would be one of these). In this system you may also post ideas that you wish to develop, or which you think we should develop, and we will consider these, and possibly continue to develop them. If you have a good idea, and are interested in developing it, submit a suggestion and we may very well make you a full fledged developer so you may access the control panel and create projects, etc.
In any event, welcome to the laboratory, feel free to post comments or ideas.
