I was at the gym today, this is typically a very "I" time for me. I disconnect with the outside world while I am there. It is great.

Of coarse it does help to not walk around with one's eyes closed so I do see things. The place is one of those with 10 billion TV hanging down from a faux-industrail ceiling, with various satellite feed coming in. Whatever......

At some point I did noticed something odd. It was Larry King live, with a panel of young really good-looking people. This alone wouldn't have really held my interest for more than second. It could have been something inane, a movie, a reality show, or something else that makes me wanna jump off a cliff. But then, it cut away to clips of the White House, and the Capitol.

Now I was curious. I went on with my routine, but did glance back every so often. This curious pattern continued. a half dozen beautiful 20-somethings talking to Larry King about Bush ? Ok so it got the best of me, I walked over close enough to read it (I never bring anything to really tune in hear this shit)

I get there as Larry is talking to this pretty blonde girl. the screen says "so and so ex- house pages". It backs away and now I see the whole panel mostly square jawed Abercrombie types, with a one dude who looked more like Calvin Klien and NYC type, but the point remain all of them boys and girl were beautiful.

It is ALWAYS the same? Beauty, money, and power! Since everyone in this story had or came from money, it wasn't a factor. But here we have the same old deal the trouble and drama that beauty and power create.

Humanity seems totally unable to ever really advance. No matter how far we go, what heigths we reach it seems these age old faults will corrupt our species.

Helen of Troy,Adonis, these tales are exactly new! It is kinda depressing to see that while the names, dates, and places change over time to story of mankind just repeats the same thing over and over again.....

Fuck, you think they'd put the ugly geek pages on TV? Besides, the ugly ones didn't get hit on. No story. Nothing to talk about. Helen of Troy my ass. George W. looks like a monkey and he's president.

Well it had nothing to do with Bush. Washington is only the setting, this time. Thinking about it I doubt there are many (any?) ugly pages. That is point that we seem to really be the be running in the same circles over and over again. Don't be sidetracked by the current set of actors.

Yes, but he looks like a monkey and he's president. He's powerful, and he's ugly. Most politicians are ugly fuckers. Kerry looked like something Dr. Frankenstien stitched together.

1. I think it's the hindbrain at work. Even those who use their higher brains a lot and try to be aware of the hindbrain are affected by it.

2. Hmm, are there no influential people who got their ugly child a job as a page?

But dont be fooled by the radio
The tv or the magazines
They show you photographs of how your life should be
But they're just someone else's fantasy
So if you think your life is complete confusion
Because you never win the game
Just remember that its a grand illusion
And deep inside we're all the same.
We're all the same...
