This is a question for anyone that knows anything about college degrees and the like.

I've decided I want to be a programmer for a living. I am currently set up to head to arizona and attend a private school www.uat.edu (http://www.uat.edu). This school is fairly expensive and is on the opposite side of the country (I live in north washington, its in phoenix az).

Anyways, what I was wondering is if I should attend University instead, and just major in Computer Science. I already have 2 semesters out of the way through a local community college, and the credits will transfer to the schools I would be planning on going to.

One more question, is it too late to sign up for fall semester?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. God I hate being indecisive sometimes :P

The schools I attended accepted people up to one week after classes started - you'll just need to be really proactive in the process.

I know a little bit about UAT, and the school is really, really good for what you're into, if I remember correctly. It's too bad it's in Phoenix, though. ;) :)

One thing that would lean me towards UAT is that it is not your home - travel and experiences away from home are, imo, the most valuable education anyone could get. You'll probably get better, in-depth knowledge of you particular fielf of interest at UAT as well.
