View Full Version : New 50 Question Socionics Test ...

50 questions ... it is actually another experimental one, but it isn't quite as bad. It gives you your type the Socionics way (not the MBTI way).

Please post the short link it gives you and not just state ... thanks.

Well, what do you expect?

Hmmm ... I expect I need to figure out a decent way to test against socionic functions TiNe [LII] and NiTe [ILI], without making things too bizaar like some of my previous experimental socionics tests. This is probably the least bizaare out of all of them [if you take some time to look at the past ones I have posted, you will know what I mean by this!]

I found some of the questions confusing or unsuited for the average person.

(For example, someone who is versed in personality theory might understand "I look at myself subjectively," but the average person will have trouble interpreting a vague question like that. And especially when the questions are generalized into these basic concepts, the average concrete person will get more confused. Sticking with explicit behaviors will help.)

Also, some times the alternative is not clear, or the question is ambiguous.

For example, 44. You tend to stick to the facts as they stand.

Is the contrast, "You do not stick to the facts as they stand"? Does this mean the person habitually lies or colors the truth?

And do people who color the truth actually believe and accept they are coloring the truth... or does what they are saying SEEM to be the truth to them? Most people will answer yes, to #44, regardless of actual type. So I don't consider the question to hold much merit, unless restated.

Off-hand, I would also point out that the first clump of questions seemed very INTP-based (as per MBTI).

--

I also disagree with the ILI = NiTe assessment that commonly appears in socionic literature. NiTe is a much worse match for me than TiNe, when I read the descriptions; I've tested as LII in some other tests, this one I came out as ILI.

Thanks

26. You reject anything that is... or unacceptable to you.

Is it just me or is that question sorta redundant, like asking "do you like things that are pleasant to you?"

EDIT: I took the test, the results weren't very accurate it said I was an INF, which isn't right, perhaps I should have answered questions more truthfully.

EDIT EDIT:Oh, yeah I forgot to put the type: ILI

"100 dollars in the bank is just 100 dollars in the banks"? i know the question is about what possibilities you may see, but not only does it have a weird plural in it, but i was inclined to agree with it just because it was a true statement of fact. only the background of the test prompted me to think more deeply about what money in the bank really means as it relates to personality.

i've only seen socionics types categorized in mbti-style, where can i find descriptions of socionics types by the letters this test assigns?

LII

but that wasn't accurate, because I went back and changed maybe 2 fields and then had LIE. Usually I score as INTp on socionics, so I was surprised at the INTj & ENTj results this time. Maybe 50 questions is too short to be accurate?

I had E on the 3rd try.

Or maybe I am just living a LIE...

Well those are just test results. They don't mean anything. Plus the test is not really what I would call reliable.
Have you looked at your relations with other people? Read Jung's descriptions of functions? Do you at least know your temperament?

...but as usual with tests, the options given are too restrictive, forcing too many compromise answers. Since that usually invalidates some part of the analysis, it is probably a good thing this test didn't struggle with the meaning behind the results.

Or am I simply being schizoid, again.

Indicates that I am ever so slightly more of a feeler than a thinker.

I don't see what good a test is without a summary for the type.

If there are descriptions can someone link me?

Otherwise, it is worthless.

That's kind of tricky. Type in socionics is for the most part theoretical so you have to first understand the theory to understand type.
