View Full Version : Sweet Merciful Crap
So my wife opens up my computer to play Bejeweled 2. Apparently hers was too far away to use, being in the other room and all.
She likes a full screen for some reason and selected the option to do that in Bejeweled. So now I can only open the program in 640x480 mode. When I try to change it back it says I can'r, because my resolution is too low. If I leave it high and run it normally, it says "set this LCD monitor to 1600x1200" - which is exactly what I have it set at. I tried a 16 bit color quality too, as the readme suggested.
Goddamnit. This is the only game I play, and I only play the puzzle and cognito games while I'm multi-tasking, so I need the program to be windowed.
Any thoughts on how to get it back to normal?
That was next, but I got it working. I removed the Adobe Gamma loader from the startup and rebooted. That did the trick.
But I'm still bitter, for the time being.

Tell your wife if she touches your stuff again you will have to go all Ike Turner on her ass.
I tell my wife this. She says she will kick me in the nuts if I even try anything funny. So it doesn't always work....

Don't you hate it when she tries to take control back for herself? I know I hate it when mine does.

A little perspective: int has said, elsewhere: they're "both" (well, that both is my slant) pregnant. so stress might (don't want to presume; I, personally, was not my normal self. Nor were my sisters, etc...) be a factor, too. Easy to overlook that int has a life-altering horizon approaching, too. Take care of yourself, too, int :)

int - I'm sorry.
Clearly, making typos isn't my only difficulty, in trying to combine typing with "talking" - different difficulties for everybody at various times.... who knows? (not me)

Heh. This is why I got her her own laptop. Mine is like an extension of my brain...everything is neat and tidy and oraganised to where it makes sense. So when someone else mucks anything up...Grrr.
Meh. I'm not bitter anymore.

orderliness is relative... it was an ongoing battle with my husband. When he returns home from Europe and uses my computer, he always wants to rearrange things. He used to muck around with my computer without checking with me first because he automatically thought organizing it his way was the best way. He doesn't do it anymore though. he he he
Yes. I should have written "to where it makes sense to me."
