The INTJ and I will be in DC next weekend, from Saturday [11th] to Monday [13th]. I want to know if any other members would like to fuck arrange a gathering at some point during those days, since we're coming from allll the way to Tejas. I know there was another potential meet-up thread, but this one actually has a time frame, so it would be more definite.

Date, time, suggestions of venue?

EDIT:

Four Courts (http://www.irishpubarlington.com/) @ 7:30. Which really means around 8pm for the Ps. PM me so I can get an idea of who will be coming.

We were thinking Sunday or Saturday evening. I know Sunday/Monday might not be good with some people because of occupations, so Saturday is open. Sunday day he's meeting my 'rents.

Good point. All meetups involving eyebyte have to happen at either a Hooters or a Macaroni Grill. I can imagine him cowering at the thought of broadening his horizons.

Well if that's what you all are after:

Willard InterContinental hotel's Round Robin Bar (http://washington.intercontinental.com/washa/dining_03.html). 1401 Pennsylvania Ave.

Plus! History!

Henry Clay introduced the East Coast to the mint julep there, U.S. Grant held meetings in the bar - people waiting to see him in the lobby gave rise to the term "lobbyist", MLK Jr. slept there the night before he gave his "I have a dream" speech, invented the gin rickey there, and more I'm sure.

Await the Leftfield response again of: Maybe

If I get a sweet offer in the short-term, I could go for an East Coast road trip before it gets both too cold and the day of doom (starting date for work) draws near. Plus a private equity firm is interested in me from Arlington, VA... so maybe I can arrange this meetup around that... no fucking clue!

I actually need to call up Wiki because he mentioned to arrange another; albeit, private meetup with a select few (no, we are not better than you, sorry... we are all equals). Plus, to crash at his place. He is my poker mentor and all, this might result an Atlantic City side trip.

Why even explain any further... I'll put 20 to 1 odds I have just the opportunity to show up.

fucking worthless post ever, sorry.

Well shit folks, you have not one, not two, but three smoking hotties via INTPc that are going to be available for an all-night and insane adventure... In one corner we have atilla coming all the way from Dallas, you've seen the pics, now see her in person... and bring your cameras, she isn't as shy as you would think... and in the other corner the hometown hottie N.P.G. and don't let that name fool you folks, we've got pics online to disprove that shit in half a second... and our guest appearance all the way from South America... the one and only, Dorothy, how can you let innocence prevent you from meeting this one, I mean we've got international exposure in the USA capital!

Think of the one of a kind experience you get... to be in the company of like conceptual thinkers... I mean, what can hold you back, a job??? Fuck that shit, you better book your flight to Dulles Airport, book a car through Enterprise because... they'll pick your ass up, that's right, they do just that and charge a low nominal fee as well...

So I have to say--I'm glad you guys will be coming up. We're just a few people short of turning the grinding cogs at the heart of this clockwork city into an idyllic nerd-friendly society the likes of which Gilbert and Lewis only dreamed of.

The funny part of all this to me is that on this same weekend, some folks I met online playing NWN are coming up from Georgia and 'Bama for the weekend. Though they do have a tendency to bail at the last moment.

If you're in Richmond and don't have a car, they have a Chinatown bus that leaves on Broad Street [W, I think] at 7am for $10 or something. Another leaves DC at 9pm.

No. Not at all.

I'm not exactly sure why we feel the need to act civilized and sit down for dinner. Clearly, we all just want to drink, and there's no shame in admitting it.

I never even knew that anyone of consequence lived in that area of the country(South of New York and east of the Mississippi). I was in Virginia Beach and thats the closest I've ever been.

When is there gonna be a meet up out west....I cant believe we dont represent. If anyone is gonna be in Aspen in the next few months, I'll sure as hell buy you a vodka gimlet or 20.

If it does happen, I am down for the West Coast, still haven't been there. I would be more inclined if I... a) have a sustainable job and b) am able to get off of work for a week to travel outside for an excursion.

Oh well, because eyebyte is so creative, it's Macaroni Grill @ 7:30.

Oh man, of all the great restaurants in D.C. you all meet up at a corporate chain??? They might try and kick you out if you aren't paying them enough... those chains are for shit in terms of greed / customer turnover output, but M-Grill is alright; albeit, not real Italian. Good value overall.

If I were attending/planning on going, my second-cousin is a manager of 10-12 private/upscale restaurants out in the D.C. metro. So for the next meetup, I could probably hook some shit up and get to meet him again... he is a cool guy, you would all like him.

Yeah, but also from experience, eating at a place that is going to treat you right (due to worker, owner, manager) is an experience to remember...

It just sucks because I see no one with that avenue (expect possibly me, but I can't show up ATM)...

I like to offer the best available option to people if I can pull it off. It's one of those Midwestern values I have.

Since we are talking about introverts, umm... yeah, not that many connections one would assume.

Have a blast... it is secondary... and the company + booze is primary.

It's a chain Italian place, better than the name and a few steps up from Olive Garden (do you have those on your side of the pond?), but still. What's Eyebyte got against a good old-fashioned drinking establishment??

Wish we could make it. Perhaps another time.

Nope, no Olive Garden chain over here. At least, not so as I have noticed. However I have eaten in one, due to late night desperation! I think it was in Maine somewhere. Strangely, I havent been to one since ;)

In small town America (and to an extent larger scale America too) I tend to hunt down microbreweries - at least there is a variety of drink, non-homogenised and they usually seem to do pub food (wings and fish&chips end of the market) pretty well!

let's go to Four Courts then, it is a big bar with a decent food menu and has plenty of space to:

1. serve food to bunch of sober introverts (phase 1), and
2. provide plenty of bar space to hold drunken introverts (phase 2).

it is right at the Courthouse metro stop (5 minute drive from macaroni grill)

I was looking at the location, and I thought, "I could walk up there." So I did from Rosslyn up Wilson Blvd.

I have not been inside Four Courts, but I have been to Gua-Rapo on the same block. It is Andean cuisine, mostly tapas (and mojitos!). Though the time I was there, a DJ was upstairs in the lounge so it was a little loud, and probably too trendy for our crowd.

There is also a California Tortilla two doors down from Four Courts, so there is plenty of food choices. There is even a Wendy's across the street if eyebyte can't digest non-chain restaurant food. (Rhodeside Grill (http://www.rhodesidegrill.com/) is also a few blocks down the street, another good bar & grill for drinks and a meal).

The main thing about Wilson Blvd. is that in Arlington it primarily runs east to west. To go west to east you need to be on Clarendon Blvd. So if you are coming from VA towards the city you need to get on Clarendon Blvd.

MacGuffin made sure that everyone had a carbomb. He was quite insistant on it. He's probably with the IRA.

I can almost guarantee it wasn't Dirty Vermont Hippies.

I wager Mojitos. (Mostly because I want one myself.)

A shot of Baileys dropped in Guiness.

I didn't get a choice. I hate peer pressure.

Attila had a lot of blowjobs. The whipped cream I tasted from the side of her lips was pretty good.

Half Baileys, half Jameson dropped in Guiness.

I have thought up a new rule for meetups.

No tongue touching.

In fact, tongues should remain in mouths at all possible opportunities.

i'm afraid that i can't promise to comply, unless i'm given a good reason why i should. if anything, i'm more apt to do the opposite, since it's now become forbidden. so, what is it?

It was a good time, until we got kicked out of the bar. I'm nowhere near sober enough to give a complete account of the adventure, but suffice it to say, we've got enough photo evidence to blackmail MacGuffin into doing whatever we want.

I'll give further details on the inappropriate comments, explicit photos, girl-girl wrestling and spitting ice into eachothers' mouths, groping, slapping, spanking, and dry humping later.

this is pretty much what i took away from it

unfortunately i could only join for a while but i got a true slice of intp-ana!

The pictures are just going to be about 100 shots of my chest.

Caption 1: This is npg's chest after her first drink.
Caption 2: Here is npg's chest with melted ice dripping down it.
Caption 3: Here is Attila groping npg's chest (ow, by the way, she is not a gentle woman)

etc. etc.

It was the least I could do to deflect any unwanted attention that you all may have otherwise experienced. Honestly, I thought that Attila's chest was going to be out in full force, and my measily pair would be no match for her giant bazongas. She surprised me by keeping them on the shelf. What a disappointment.

So you completely forgot about how you two just took off your shirts and started slapping eachother with your chests? I know you had a bit to drink, but I don't think I could have ever imagined that!

I think it was right after you two were wrestling on the Metro.

Risks? What risks? I fear you not!

Would you send me into the desolate abyss? I would build a house there from thought alone, and populate it with things of a taste somewhat less bitter than the reality denied me!

Would you destroy all I hold dear? There is little enough of that, and though it might not be rebuilt in a day, I would rebuild that which was lost. Indeed, you would gift me in your wake of destuction with a far loftier goal than anything I posess now!

Though your twisted sight may see the diabolic in the message of the crow, any reprisal would be an act of futility. And so I repeat: I fear you not!
