Truth

Gaze in captivated awe / At the eye of Truth...
Let it see into you,
And engulf you,
And let yourself become lost
In fascination of its Beauty...

Find yourself now / Drifting in that hued and clear nebula, / Absorbed in the intensity of Knowing -
Suspended in the lightness of nothing - bathed in the substance of everything, / Among the cloud's gentle crystals.

A soundless song vibrates your soul. / Is it the voice of Rhyme?
And a crisp breeze inhales you into its embrace. / Is it the breath of Reason?
The universe unfolds before you, / And you Know each atom, / Experience each star, / Taste each galaxy.
In clarity, all has order - / All has meaning. / All evolves as one.

Then -
Despite your reaching,
And grasping, / This realm sighs through your fingers -
And vanishes! - / Like a dream, when your body wrenches backwards / Out from slumber's visions...

Only a heavy confusion makes known
The loss,
But forever will you seek pure Truth again.

From my perspective, I can translate this piece of writing into what I experience on the occasions where I am about to fall asleep, and then I am abruptly interrupted by an entire bodily twitch which fully awakens me. Annoyed and disoriented, I somehow gently fall back to sleep without even attempting.

yeah, every time I got high. Seriously though, this is very neptunian. can truth and beauty co-exist. Worldly truth (reality) vs. unworldy truth (dreams). These moments seem few and ever fleeting. Do they give us hope? How do we make the seemingly unreal real?

That happens to me too - I feel like I'm falling and jolt back into awareness.

It's called hypnagogic myoclonus. It's common enough. Happens to me too, but more often than not does not wake me up.

Ah ha! Thx for the memory refresher...I forgot the term. I spoke with a neurologist regarding that and other neurological problems I was having (such as syncope). He had an inkling I had epilepsy, and was possibly going to put me on a marijuana regimen. *snaps fingers* I'm far from being epileptic.
