I have noticed in the past couple of weeks (maybe less time) that when I create a thread, an emoticon will be added without my intentions. I have tried deleting/removing them, but it does not seem to work...... What is up with them and how are they making their way on to our threads without prompt? :rant:

Not always so easy. If you want to quote someone whose login starts with a capital P, then the tag would be (sans space)
[quote= Pxxx]
But since '= P' (sans space) is an emoticon, it doesn't work. There are some ambiguities here, for sure.

Maybe we need a help page so that people can know how to type messages, with punctuation, etc. and not have emoticons show up in their text.

How about these new emoticons! Have you seen these things? WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THESE? I mean, you're typing, and then your tongue is hanging out in front of the entire world! COME ON!
