Hello everyone!
I came across this board in the process of researching a lot of things on the human brain and personality categorizing methods being used often in society and psychology today or in the past. After going through endless hours upon hours of research over the past 4 months I still have not come to any sure fire conclusion. My family tells me I'm looking too far into what I'm doing, and so do many of my friends. They also claim it's bad to research when I apply the research to myself, but I see myself as being human too. Is that really so horrible? Well, I don't think it is.. but I often find myself being looked down on for looking too far into things. People say it's unhealthy, but then again, people are not me. I don't tell the crackhead to stop smoking the crack, instead I just step away and let the crackhead find out on his/her own where drugs will get him/her in the long run. So in the same aspect, I think I have the right to research some more, but I'll withhold my research to myself from now on as to not be called insane anymore. It seems almost like a drug addiction with the way people are talking to me about it. Anyways, it's nice to find a board to visit, but I'm not expecting to have much in common with anyone here, or looking for a place to fit in. I gave that up years ago. However, it's really cool what you're all doing, and how some people here can relate enough to fit into a place where they feel they belong in some way, even if it's online. I think that is probably a feeling most humans long for, somewhere they feel like they belong, and perhaps a place where they don't feel too judged upon simply for being themselves.
So, I guess I'll volunteer those percentages.. although, I am personally doubtful to what exactly percentages could reveal about a person's true self.
Introvert - 89%
Intuitive - 56%
Thinking - 67%
Perceiving - 44%

Hello and welcome.
As far as I know, you are the first person to use the word "crackhead" in your introduction. That's gotta be worth something.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.

My family tells me I'm looking too far into what I'm doing, and so do many of my friends. Well I hope you straightened them out about that. How can it ever be wrong to have too much information?
Unless they really mean: "Get your nose out of your books/computer screen and go out and have some fun." In which case they might be right.
I'm glad you mention friends, because people who score 89% Introvert often don't have any.:)

Well, online friends are still friends.

I wouldn't shut myself off to the possiblity if i was you though. I understand not finding anyone you have a lot in common, but many of us, including myself, have been in that position. Hey, I certainly empathize with the many hours devoted to research. I've been doing that ever since I can remember (yup, I was a kindergarten researcher, crazy perhaps to non-INTPs). The only thing that has changed is that I use the Internet more.

I used to defend myself when people would tell me that I look too much into things. Now I just reply that they don't look into things enough.

Get the idea that you have to "fit in" out of your system. It's probably a result of SJ brainwashing. Fitting in for the sake of fitting in is pretty pointless. You might say that you have gotten it out of your system since you're not expecting it, but it seems to me that you shouldn't even consider this forum with that perspective...even rhetorically...banish it away!

In a way.. but not in a way.. Organized chaos (yes, i know) is good, but things just can't go in completely strange and useless places. For example, it would be totally unreasonable to have a container of lemon pepper sitting in the bathroom somewhere. That would definitely bother me until I knew exactly why it was there, and there would need to be a good reason for it being there. Then again, that might actually be pretty funny: the experience of trying to go through ideas of what the hell a container of lemon pepper would be doing in a bathroom.
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes! I've been browsing these forums on and off, more today than ever: seems great here, lots to read.

Well that is a bit J of you, isn't it? I, being a P, would definitely be turned on. What's lemon pepper?

lemon pepper is a delicious spice, and it's great on sliced tomatoes and fish of sorts.. it is packed with sodium and often times accompanied by monosodium glutamate.. however, there are plenty of brands available without msg to keep anyone's lemon pepper dependency as healthy(unlikely??) an experience as possible..

Is it hot enough to steam fish in your bathroom? If so the lemon pepper would be really useful.

On a semi-related note, it is hot enough to cook salmon in your dishwasher . . .

Hmmm, interesting. My wife is a Thai chef and takes her food seriously...'Honey while you were out I cooked dinner for the kids, guess what we had?'
Oh,by the way, hi Chicken.
