I just read an article about the Kobe Bryant - Karl Malone feud and realized I dislike both immensely. So who are your favorite and least favorite athletes in any sport (past or present)? Here are mine:
Favorites:
1. Bernie Kosar
2. Charles Barkley - just because he is funny.
3. Terrell Owens - just because he is funny.
4. Steve Yzerman
5. Alan Trammell

Least Favorites:
1. Kobe Bryant
2. Claude Lemieux
3. Anyone who plays or has played for Ohio State football whose name is not Chris Spielman.
4. Kirby Puckett - I don't know why but I couldn't stand the guy.
5. Barry Bonds

3. Terrell Owens - just because he is funny.

They did this chart on Pardon The Interruption where they ranked T.O.'s most outrageous moves. The things he did on the field that caught the most flack. Interestingly enough, they rated the spontaneous things higher than the things he'd planned, like pulling the Sharpie out his sock to autograph the football. Of course, they weren't too serious about this.

But Tony Kornheiser said something that I'm totally in agreement with. I think he was talking specifically about T.O.'s slamming the football down on the Cowboys' star and posing at mid-field. "I first thought this guy was an obnoxious, arrogant jerk but now looking back [at his body of work], I see that was the invention of the wheel."

I don't know if he's one of my favorites, but the guy's like a human video game. I always want to see what he's going to do next once he scores. The Ray Lewis dance was brilliant.

Favorite:
1. Mario Lemieux -- Pittsburgh Penguins
2. Tyler Palko -- Pitt Panthers
3. Ulf Samuelsson -- fmr Pittsburgh Penguin
4. Andy Van Slyke -- fmr Pittsburgh Pirate
5. Donovan McNabb -- Philadelphia Eagles. I hate the Eagles, I hate all things Philly, but how can you not like a guy that finished a game with a broken ankle?

Least favorite
1. Barry Bonds. Arrogant roid user. Enough said.
2. Eric Lindros. Keep your head up, Eric.
3. Ricky Williams. What a waste of draft picks for New Orleans.
4. Michael Irvin. He played for the Cowboys and did crack. For God's sake, man, you're a multimillion dollar althlete, at least get yourself some pure Colombian blow and quality hookers.
5. Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and Karl Malone. You're great players, but seriously, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Ouch. I heard that he also got beat up by Elvis Stojko if that makes you like him less.

That was pretty amazing. Slightly topped by Byron Leftwich being carried down the field by his linemen in the closing drive of a Marshall game.

Who's gonna start a thread on Lindros? Not that I mind but Stevens did go head hunting on him. Maybe people wouldn't be gunning for him so much if he kept his stick down when he checks.

I can't speak to the drugs, but a couple of the strippers he was with were A-list talent.

Favourite....... Francesco TOTTI
also...
Alessandro Nesta
Paulo Maldini
Andrij Shevchenko
Gianluigi Buffon
Hernan Crespo
Mexes
Raul

Least favourite......

Thierry Henry (this guy is a joke, he can only score against shitty teams, in every big match he chokes)
Rooney (ugly and brutish, needs a serie A style makeover)
Ronaldinho (yah he's good at soccer but he always looks like and carries himself like an ugly tool) also see below

Also mention most of Team Brazil for wearing "I love Jesus" shirts under their jerseys when they won the world cup, if Jesus loved Brazil it wouldn't be such a shithole, stupid wankers.
