View Full Version : Long Rant On People...

I am so tired of the way people treat themselves and screw each other over. What I'm even more tired of, is always getting the black marble.

At school, I am _always_ the one getting ostracized, excluded, you just about name it. I help these peoples sometimes, in diff calculus it's not uncommon for me to be the only one who actually gets what the teacher talks about, so I'm willing to stoamch my I and _help_ these so called _people_ do their god damned assignments so they can get a good grade and do the work instead of dreaming about humping one another's legs all day. I don't care that they don't get it, that's not the point. It's fine to not get something...happens to me, but it's how they treat me while I help them that pisses me off. And my teacher encourages me to help them, verges on making.

At work I'm blamed for shit that no one tells is there! I have a list of sites, when I came on I printed out a spreadsheet of all sites/servers, and got stats of them from our webdev guy. Well, when I moved them he neglected to mention every fscking site uses mysql, and so now I have to manually retrieve and recover god damned mysql databases, am getting blamed for it all, and yelled at about it this afternoon.

My teachers aren't any help at school either, they constantly do the same as the fscking students for the most part. They resent me for not doing my homework and being so smart, even though they realize I'm not lazy. Not all, but most.

I am so tired of this immense pile of shit that is surrounding me on all sides and is just about to collapse on me, where everyone elses causes problems and I have to try to hold up the pile. I take the fscking blame for what I've done, what right do these people have to do this to me?

What makes it worse, try to tell anyone this they think you're a loon. Don't fit in? Don't wanna watch tv? You didn't see Darma and Greg last night!? God, what a dumbass geek, he's a worthless pile of crap. And according to everyone else, they're right.

I maintain the very infastructure that they rely on every day. I maintain their servers, their computers, in a way I'm a maintainer of the internet as I am a hoster and help write protocols as well as software. I AM SOCIETY! Why? Why do they feel the need to try to destroy the thing that fucking holds them up from the stone age which it would be preferable to revert to for someone like me? Hm? WHY?

[/blowing off steam]

Fuck this, I'm going to go get a lemonade, listen to some tea party, and skip the rest of my day, I'm tired of this shit...

Just leave and leave them to wallow in their own incompetence for awhile. They will either want you back, with incentives, or they will have to pay someone else more money to do a worse-quality job then you. There is anyone there who appreciates your work, ask them to write a reference letter for you and hand your one week notice in.

As to doing people's homework for them. Why do you even bother? Even if they seem like they are being nice to you, they are probably talking behind your back.

One time, I was picked last for the floor hockey team and said "Saving the best for last, eh?". People had a good laugh and were less inclined to bug me after that.

If people dont like you, then its their problem to deal with, is what I say.

High school is tough, I never really figured out a way to defeat anyone with words in high school, but as an adult, many an ignorant person can be easily broken if you know the right things to say. Best of luck to you.

That sounds like an apt response. Good for you.

(Making them write down requests, etc. also shows good common sense from you).

It's all politics. Though we hate people politics, it's just something we have to learn to deal with. I used to shun politics, thinking if I didn't get involved, they wouldn't involve me. Wrong! Just gotta be yourself, cover your backside, and when you go out of your way to help someone and they don't give you your due respect, keep it in mind and save it for future reference. Likewise when they do give you due respect. Politics.

While we are all ranting lemme know what you guys think. Why do "they" (is what me and my INTP friend call others) feel the need to tell us every little insignificant detail that happened during their day. Like look man I'm sure the hot pocket you had for work was good but I don't care. Then I get the BLAH BLAH BLAH JEFF YOU NEVER PAY ATTENTION. It's because what your talking about is crap that's why I'm not listening!! Did you ever think of that? UGHHHHHHHH. I've started watching myself...why...because I felt bad that i was always outta it. BUT it's like a natural reaction when someone starts talking about garbage for me to go in my head and start daydreaming or thinking about whatever I've been thinking about. I mean it's not my fault it's either listen to them and want to poke my eyes for 15 minutes or just nod and think about what I want to think about. Blah who knows though. I mean I would say I project this image of well a jovial, light hearted, funny/weird, dumb ass.....why I don't really know. Just nothin really bothers me. I think some people might think I'm dumb because of my slacking and light heartedness, and I don't really care. I know inside I don't miss a beat, and that's all that matters. I've come to find though that I can sway the conversation in my favor by asking interesting questions about stuff I want to talk about. So, that's how I dealt with socializing. And I try to listen to details but it's still really hard not to get annoyed but ehh well, whatcha gonna do.

People suck. Unfortunately I don't know what too tell you because I find my self in those kind of situation's. It has gotten bettre now that I am out of highschool. Still at work though, a couple bitchy girls who work the drive through where I work would always get in my buisness and yell at me for stupid stuff. I got yelled at for mopping grease off the floor, even when the manager said I could. What the fuck is up with that? Why is it that some of us girls seem to be in bitch mode at work? I like working with the guys much better. They miond their own buisness and even though they don't like work, they seem to be nicer about it.

You should have pointed out that had you not done so, they could have broken their damnfool necks. And added your total lack of regret if they did do that.

Why do "they" (is what me and my INTP friend call others) feel the need to tell us every little insignificant detail that happened during their day

I think that people want to feel that you care about them to justify their existence. Since they're obviously incapable of a _real_ thought, they fill their heads with trash of some type or another (at least trash to us) and have to share it to create a "group hug" type thing for themselves.

That's my theory of why people rant out about why they love hot pockets, and every little detail of what they've done.

Maybe we can work something out, if they want to tell us about their day, they can type up a concise one-two paragraph summary, double spaced, 12 point font, stamped in triplicate with their names, id code, and internal registry number, and we can save it and read it at a later time (like, right before we throw it in the bin).

They bitched that I made the floor even more slippery. They even didn't walk over there. So the next time one of them spilled grease on the floor, I just dumped salt on the grease, so I wouldn't fall and crack my head open. The salt provided traction so I wouldn't slide and fall.

Bah. I know. Ignorant masses that only care about what happened on whatever T.V. show last night. Oh, and if the kiddies can't do their own homework, then they shouldn't be in the higher up classes.

I know exactly how you feel. I just don't give a damn about them and their problems. If they are having trouble in school that's just too damn bad. If the pace is too fast they shouldn't be in the race.

People like us are very under appreciated. People are nice to you because they need something and then treat you like shit when they don't. My motto is do unto others as they have done unto you.

Like you said it is impossible to point it out to them. They just don't get it. Sometimes you gotta just say fuck it and leave.

Karma is a Bitch. They'll get theirs in the end.

You're too nice, but I was sorta in your shoes once, so I understand it.

Perhaps it's not for me to say or for you to read, but who the hell cares anyway, I will say it (or type it). Use them, they use you, you use them, when it comes to explaning crap to them, charge them for it, you get some easy bucks and they can talk crap about you all they want, but they will still need you.

At work, I agree with whoever said you should leave, most times I just act like I don't know what happened (make yourself seem stupid) until you know it's time to shine and then they don't know what the crap hit them.
The downside is that this only works a couple of times, but if you can't squeeze more out of them then it's time to book it.

People like that are used by other people everyday, they might as well be used by those of us who have more intellect than them and actually try to help.

I have been pissed off too, same things happened to me.
Now i just dont care about those @#@! people, who just herd around like wild animals without any human processing abilities.I go my own way. Though, its kinda hard of course, u get scenes where they start ridiculing you becoz according to them what everyone says is correct.
for the moment, i just listen to some good music to recharge myself up, and get on with those !#@#@# again.

MAN THIS WORLD SUCKS ! WE ARE THE ALIENS HERE, THEY ARE HUMANS !

Hear hear. High school sucked. Four years on, I am only friends with 2 people from high school (an ENFJ and an ENFP). I don't even communicate with the main "group" of friends I had in Year 12 (all S, hmmm how did that end up happening?). The main solution is to find a group of friends who are predominately N. Easier said than done, I know.
So where do we find our intuitive brethren? (and sistren... is there a female equivalent?).
1) College (if you're financially endowed and smart enough). Most college students are Ss, but the proportion of Ns is higher than in normal society. Choose a degree like arts or science (NOT engineering). Within a couple of years the Ss and Ns should separate out into friendship groups, and you and your fellow Ns can organise weekly sessions of random philosophy talk in quiet, dimly-lit bars...
2) Book Clubs... check out sessions at your local library or book store
3) INTP central of course, but that's only electronic...
feel free to add to the list

In short, people suck, but a small minority don't. Seek them out and cling to them like barnacles to the hull of the Cutty Sark....

In my experience, the few educated Sensors with high IQs I've come across have been just as good and in many cases better than their intuitive counterparts. Of course they're more rare than intuitives. But a smart S sure is better than a dumb N.

I recall from a young age pondering that maybe I am an alien sent to observe this world, and upon my "death" will be returned to report my observations. Kind of sums up the INTP thing, eh?

I'm not in contact with anyone I went to high school or undergrad school with. Only a couple from grad school, and it's few & far between. Although I feel I'm getting better at "fitting in", I still struggle with it constantly, which worries me as I head into my thirties. This site has actually been helping me along recently. Thanks all.

To hell with all the "others", we know that we are virtually the only ones that "get it"!

My buddy E/INTP buddy says he's waitin for me to get cut and bleed green. Yeah and from what I noticed I got two really smart S guys I live with and they are fuckin hysterical with some of the random questions I bring up. I can deal with anyone if they're smart and open minded. That's all I'm lookin for in friends.

The other students used to call me "Spock" in my astronomy classes. I took it as a compliment. I drove the professor friggin' nuts (he was a geology prof "filling in" for astronomy & would rather talk about the composition of other planets).

Yea, I'm called "brain" in a few of my classes. My tall associate who is the local math geek is called "pinky". I think the one day when I went off and told a few people how pathetic they were and explained to "pinky" my master plan to take over the world (some of you in IRC may have heard this as well) kind of made it a lasting thing, heh.

But that's okay, as brain is cool :)
