Not sure how many are familiar with plans of the countries of North America to merge as one entity and operate via one currency, the "Amero." (this will replace the existing currencies). So what does this mean for American, Canadian, and Mexican citizens? NAFTA and CAFTA aren't working. So what will come of this? I think it spells disaster and puts an end to national sovereignty and all of us a step closer to one world government. Talks of the Amero have intensified with the U.S. Dollar's recent negative performance in the FX markets.

London stock trader urges move to 'amero'
Steve Previs, a vice president at Jefferies International Ltd., explained the Amero "is the proposed new currency for the North American Community which is being developed right now between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico."
The aim, he said, according to a transcript provided by CNBC to WND, is to make a "borderless community, much like the European Union, with the U.S. dollar, the Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso being replaced by the amero." I'm all for it, but something tells me that the majority of US citizens, who are unwilling to concede that the US might not be the greatest nation of all time, will be somewhat hesitant.

I do not consider myself one of the Art Bell/Militia conspiracy types, but I do admit that the One World Government concept is a scary one.

I'd rather not trade in the Amero. Now, if we're talking about the Camaro, I'm all for it.

I'm unclear on whether it would provide opportunities for me, or problems. Hustler predicted it, in a post some time ago, BTW.

Hustler is right. You know the Bush Administration is secretly making plans to build a NAFTA super highway (http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=15497). It'll extend through the center of the three nations. THEY'RE DOING IT IN SECRET. First you simplify trade, merge the nations, homogenized the workforce, then subvert the middle class to working class (lower) status. The corporations get richer as the divide between rich and poor increases. The money and power gets infinitely consolidated in the hands of the connected as you merge nations. Unchecked capitalism is like a deadly virus unleashed on the people with vaccine shots available for the connected few.

THEY'RE DOING IT IN SECRET.IT'S NOT A VERY GOOD SECRET IF YOU KNOW ABOUT IT.
Also, trucking is how we get most of our goods. Regardless of whether you like NAFTA, how the hell would NAFTA work without good trucking routes?

True.Well the problem is it's gonna work too well for the rich and connected. The majority of us will lose horribly in this deal.
Hustler and Lou Dobbs, BTW.
Yeah I love Lou Dobbs. He and Olbermann. Them other cats need to go back to journalism school.
