:hello: 'ello everyone! ..finally I'm posting an introduction, i kinda had to get the feel of the board first..
As my username suggests, (that is, if you have read these books) The Chronicles of Narnia is my favourite series of books- yes, can you believe it, An INTP that actually reads fantasy genre books!!
I've always known I was a little different.. for one reason or another, mostly because I've been homeschooled all my lfe, but I remember (vaguely) thinking to myself as I was little (5, maybe?) that I was a really mature girl compared to all the other kids my age. ;P
When i started getting older I started noticing that not everyone sees things as i do.. you know, when you're a kid (or an INTP kid?) you just naturally take it for granted that anyone could surmise that if a kid is reading a funny book- that just hapens to be about bugs- the kid is a booklover, not a bug lover! (this actually happened.. the first time i met my bro-in-law, i was reading that book and thought some of the stuff was funny, so i read aloud a few of the puns-- at my 10th birthday party i got a card from him, with money, that said he would have bought me a bug, since i liked them so much- but instead here was some money so i could buy one myself! )
I took the similarminds MBTI test about a year ago, and came out INTP, read a few type pages about it- thought it was cool... but a few months ago I joined a homeschooling forum, and met some people, including an INFP who's basically my online-best-buddy now.. and coincidentally, got around to talking about MBTI because i gave my INFP friend a link to the similarminds test, he said he'd already taken 2 MBTI tests for jobs he'd applied to... eventually i convinced several others to take the test (two others turned up as INTP's) and started perusing through the type profiles.. and now I'm hooked!!!
...but one of the other reasons i joined this forum is that lately (actually for maybe a year) I've been experiencing some symptoms of depression.. i know that some can be explained as normal NP characteristics, but theres others that are nagging. I haven't ben diagnosed, since it's only mild.. so i don't really know for sure.. in fact, it could just be that I'm not eating the right kind of foods and it's a nutrition issue.. *shrugs*
Well, that's me inanutshell. the rest will most likely be scattered throughout verious posts I make.. after all, this IS a psychology-related forum.
