:hello: 'ello everyone! ..finally I'm posting an introduction, i kinda had to get the feel of the board first..

As my username suggests, (that is, if you have read these books) The Chronicles of Narnia is my favourite series of books- yes, can you believe it, An INTP that actually reads fantasy genre books!!
I've always known I was a little different.. for one reason or another, mostly because I've been homeschooled all my lfe, but I remember (vaguely) thinking to myself as I was little (5, maybe?) that I was a really mature girl compared to all the other kids my age. ;P

When i started getting older I started noticing that not everyone sees things as i do.. you know, when you're a kid (or an INTP kid?) you just naturally take it for granted that anyone could surmise that if a kid is reading a funny book- that just hapens to be about bugs- the kid is a booklover, not a bug lover! (this actually happened.. the first time i met my bro-in-law, i was reading that book and thought some of the stuff was funny, so i read aloud a few of the puns-- at my 10th birthday party i got a card from him, with money, that said he would have bought me a bug, since i liked them so much- but instead here was some money so i could buy one myself! )

I took the similarminds MBTI test about a year ago, and came out INTP, read a few type pages about it- thought it was cool... but a few months ago I joined a homeschooling forum, and met some people, including an INFP who's basically my online-best-buddy now.. and coincidentally, got around to talking about MBTI because i gave my INFP friend a link to the similarminds test, he said he'd already taken 2 MBTI tests for jobs he'd applied to... eventually i convinced several others to take the test (two others turned up as INTP's) and started perusing through the type profiles.. and now I'm hooked!!!

...but one of the other reasons i joined this forum is that lately (actually for maybe a year) I've been experiencing some symptoms of depression.. i know that some can be explained as normal NP characteristics, but theres others that are nagging. I haven't ben diagnosed, since it's only mild.. so i don't really know for sure.. in fact, it could just be that I'm not eating the right kind of foods and it's a nutrition issue.. *shrugs*

Well, that's me inanutshell. the rest will most likely be scattered throughout verious posts I make.. after all, this IS a psychology-related forum.

Welcome. It seems plenty of folks here like fantasy. Dunno 'bout Narnia though..
And we are such a depressing punch of people that this forum is not going to help you. :)

hi, welcome. I've homeschooled for a long time too. Do you think that might be effecting your depression somewhat? I don't know much about your social life based just on you homeschooling, but I was always somewhat lonely. I pretty much lived alone in my room for years, and eventually I gave up and just decided to take a GED and start going to community college. Now I regret that though.

Eating can also affect you, and not sleeping right, those can be fixed pretty easily if you don't have a sleeping disorder or something. But if it's the social aspect, there may not be much you can do except wait for your situation to change. I would recommend taking up a hobby modestly; that is, not too obsessively so that you burn out on it quickly.

LoL.. thanks for the welcome everyone! :)

Yeah.. i figured that at least some of you liked fantasy books (actually my first PM was someone asking if my sn was taken from the Narnia books!)

Just watch out for Edmund... He's PURE evil! ;P
I thought that was funny because there's a character in the books that's named Edmund!

Actually i do have a hobby.. sort of. I like to draw.. and i have a woodburning kit, and a whole big bag of pipe-cleaners that i make little creations out of. But my current interest really is in psychology... it's probably going to be a long-term interest too, because theres so much i havent learned yet about it.

I pretty much lived alone in my room for years
yeah.. I can identify with that!! It's basically my current situation- except more confusing.. I'm in Girl Scouts, and am an AWANA worker, and [just quit] chior.. and earlier in the semester I was in a debate program (that kinda dissolved because the debate coach had schedule conflicts)
I'm not absolutely sure if I have a sleep disorder or not- i just know that i am never fully awake in the morning, and the only time i can really think without my brain being muddled is after 4- which is inconveniently after school hours :P ... I know theres just so many things i could do to make my situation better, but.. well- my current sig kinda explains that.
