Post the oddest thing you've seen recently.

Last night I caught my mom vacuuming the dog.

That sounds cute. Could you replicate the situation, photo it, and post the image?

I haven't seen anything specifically odd for a while ( failing how normal people generally behave... ), but one of the strangest things I saw once was an elderly man, complete with sinister mackintosh, slowly bicycling around the deserted playground of a junior school.

No doubt he had his reasons.

I'd rather not as the dog's afraid of vacuums, but I'm sure it will happen again.

I had to go to a christmas eve service(shudder) with my parents(shudder) and one of the hymns had "ass" in it(it was on an overhead) so everyone said "ass" .. it was a nice oddity

I was walking around out in the woods, and I found some litter... and it was a promotional car trashbag, that said "DO NOT LITTER" in big letters all over it... and there it was, lying on the ground... yay for irony.

I was driving home from work one day, going east on the crosstown, and here's this guy, playing his saxaphone out in the middle of nowhere, by himself, his car parked a little ways from him, about 40 feet from the highway. It just struck me as really odd, like you don't see that every day.

Two men walking down a suburban street. One walking in front of the other. The one behind holds a long yellow rubber hose, or some kind of flexible thin tubing. Every so often he cracks the hose like a whip on the back of the man in front.

No, his name is Kilwer. (pronounced Killer, but spelled differently for no good reason)
I think Hawkon posted that his dog's name was Leika, if that's what you're thinking of.

This to me was very odd. I almost jumped 10 feet and screamed because the guy is so loud, it freaked me out. Go to www.bettycrocker.com (http://www.bettycrocker.com/) and click on "play intro" on the vegetable chili. Before you do, TURN the volume down. Something is very wrong with that guy for talking that loud.

Also odd? www.msn.com (http://www.msn.com/) has videos of people burying the corpses that died in Tsunami. They are probably burying people that were tourists illegally, along with any body, and hiding the fact from other countries. This means people that are missing and their families may never know where they are, but might be in secret mass graves. http://video.msn.com/video/p.htm?rf=

It is tough; but although it may be hard, one does have to get rid of them pretty quick anyway, let alone in a hot climate amidst the debris. The inhabitants can't be expected to step over them for the next six months.

[ Conversely, as with all such events, there will be those who decide to remain presumed dead, and start a new and respected life as someone else. ]

You know, that never occurred to me, but you're right. Given the magnitude of this disaster, there are probably any number of such individuals.

This could easily be the start of a new thread or poll: if presumed dead, would you reveal yourself to be alive or assume a new identity?

Back to the vacuuming the dog..

My sister vacuumed the lawn after she realised the lawn feed she put down was not recommended for a new lawn (which she had just laid).

The people who lived upstairs from her (it was two flats - apartments to the US citizens) were trying to sell. And funnily enough they were having people around to see the property, who looked out of the window and saw the lady downstairs (my sister) outside vacuuming the lawn. Strangely they didnt buy!
