And what mpg is your vehicle? Mine is fairly sporty, yet does a combined 42mpg.

(so my cost might be the same...)

It'll go back up in a little while.. I suspect this is Saudi Arabia really trying to piss off Iran.

Well, yeah. Maybe if we had to double our gas budget people will start paying attention Actual action will probably take $5 a gallon. Or more.

Apathy always amazes me.

I suspect this is Saudi Arabia really trying to piss off Iran.

This is why I wish America was an introvert.

Why can't we just walk away, turn off the phone ringer, go think in a corner for another 100 years, and get all Mark Twain on everyone?

It's still over $2.15 per gallon over here on the other side of the Rockies. But our gas prices are always out of whack, when the shortages happened ours delayed, then shot way up above the national average (which is totally ludicrous - we suck oil out of the ground here and refine it at a few places within close proximity to here), and stuck there a long time after it had dropped massively elsewhere.

Major price gouging in my state. I love driving into Wyoming, where gas is usually 20-30 cents cheaper per gallon. I once figured I could save enough money on gas that a trip just barely into Wyoming would save me money over buying locally. Guess what I do when I happen to have a reason to be there...
