i really couldnt be arsed finding the thread i made about it and adding all this stuff. so here is all the information i have written on the idea that came to me while i was actually jerking off to a 3 year old black label penthouse story

----------------------------------------------------
Society of Furtherence

a peaceful secret order that holds 3 things as key, knowledge and learning, buddhism & freedom

Learning and Scholarly work
Buddism and Humanism
Freedom and Liberty
on a property (70-100 hectres)covered in well ordered woods and orchids and man made streams with 3 official and one non official building
Library, Living Quarters, Main Building
Guest hotel

2 fences running around the perimetre
the first an electric fence on a low setting where there are security cameras
the second a treated wooden fence disguised by a tall hedge on both sides

a vast selection of australian and some introduced herbivore wildlife such as roos (eastern grey and red), wombats (common and hairy nosed), platypus, deer, antelopes, koalas, sugar gliders, possums, echidna, emu and various others will inhabit the grounds and are not to be hunted/poached/eaten

woods are to be mostly the giant motherfucking tree like the type that is on the side of the road on GPA land out near the gladstone marina's picnic area, amoung other giant foliage producets to be spaced 15-12 metres apart

orchids should be spaced evenly in the woods and should be apple mulberry, mango and cherry

the order will be a trust for intp scholars to make a start at their own financial life and study, all members will make a bequest at their death of half their liquid estate and there will be a compulsary yearly donation once their net worth exceeds one million dollars AUD

order is to protect fledgling and weak nations with criticism against those who attack them (no members will be thrown out if they pay for assasins to kill the leaders of the offending nations) its members should be placed into key areas in australian educational and political scenes as they desire

the order is to remain secret behind various businesses and clubs and no member is to tell of our existance or our secrets to anyone even family who are not in the society

there will be no restrictions on subjects that can be studied

Orders
Order of Peace - medallian [Highest Order]
oval platinum disc held around neck by tricolour ribbon (White|Gold|Silver)
3 etched symbols, in the centre is a mulberry tree
at the base of the tree - Dexter facing sinister is a Buck
- Sinister facing dexter is a fox
in heraldry a buck symbolises that the person will not fight unless provoked and the fox symbolises that the person uses all his wisdom and wit in his defence. just as the members of this order will not fight unless sorely provoked and then will use his or her own wit and wisdom in defence. the mulberry tree represents generosity, happyness and peace.

Order of the Hearth - Medallian [Middle Order]
Diamond shaped platinum disc with boars head on top, heald around neck by bicolour ribbon (Green|Gold)
Diamond shape is seperated just under the angles horizontally, top half has an etched mulberry tree the bottom half has 3 fish made by blue saphires the top two face sinister and the bottom one faces dexter

in heraldry the fish symbolise virtuousness for ones self and not because of his heratige just as the members of this order are chosen by their own kindness and virtues, and the boars head symbolises hospitality and the name of the order the hearth.

Order of the Book - Cufflinks [Lowest Order]
platinum links, open book shape
etched into the pages is a facing owl

the open book symbolises knowledge and manifestation, and the owl symbolises vigilence and intelligence as the members of this order are to have written at least 5 acclaimed books and 500 journal articles

By the way, I call the machine gun nest on the roof. Put an MG-42 and 10,000 rounds on the purchase list. And some spare barrels.

Heh, I love HK. I have a USP .45. ...That MG43 is pretty trick. But it's no MG-42. 5.56 NATO won't tear through armor like 7.92 Mauser, and the rate of fire is significantly less. MG-42=One of a kind.

The gun is prominently featured in HK's newest promotional video called "The HK Weapon System." It was torture tested in 1997 in the Yuma, Arizona desert as part of trials necessary to compete for future U.S. military contracts. With optical and night vision sight mounts available, the GMG can operate anywhere, anytime.
I think I need that video!

do you have a link for the mg-42? i would love to see that. oh and i am designing a pistol that shoots rifle bullets. the kind that go through most of the armys ppe. unfortunately it wont go through a tank or other armour plated land vehicles, will a chopter though. want to see the initial designs?

i got the idea from reverse engineering the rifle used by professor moriaties top assassin, the colonel from india. i forget his name.

the rifle fired pistol bullets so it looked like the killed had been in the room with the deceased. totally through the police off, and indeed holmes for about a week.

You talkin about captain Nemo? Rifle-type bullets have been used in pistols...Check out the FN Five-Seven. You can't legally own it in USA because it doesn't care if the target is wearing body armor. Of course, you can't own much at all in Australia.

And there's a WWII photo in my profile. I'd really like to have a non-operative one on my coffee table or some such.

Colonel Sebastian Moran.

Why on earth would anyone want a weapon that didn't work perfectly ? Plus the ammunition.

Axis History Forum (http://forum.axishistory.com/) is pretty good.

Only for legality!

Found some more via axis forums:

http://198.144.2.125/MG42/mg42.htm --This site looks awesome.

An MG3 would do just as nicely, it seems. It just uses 7.62 NATO--more widely available.

"guts has only he that stand on the right side of a MG"

Another site on WWII Axis weapons ( Although if we're going to be truthful, few people have a fascination with Jap or Italian stuff: German, Austrian, Czech, Swedish, Russian... yeah ).

German WWII Weapons JoDavid Meyer Site (http://www.jodavidsmeyer.com/combat/military/weapons2.html)

Nice to see it making the point that the valiant, but obnoxious, SS triumphs were mainly due to the fact they got better weaponry than the Armed Forces. [ I shouldn't like to suggest that this irritated the regulars to the point where they deliberately sacrificed their SS allies, helping to account for the latter's huge losses... ]

Righty-right. American snipers have some pretty good weaponry as well, and they use fifties sometimes.

Shai Gar

yes well as hard as i look i cannot find american military sniper rifles. and last i heard the american snipers in iraq are pissed because they dont have the equipment that they need. whereas australian infantry always have everything they need when going into battle. as an undisclosed fact that i am privy to, (not supposed to tell but i hate the current australian government so i dont care) the australian infantry is the only infantry is the only infantry in the world where night vision is standard issue for all troops.

if you could find what rifles the american army snipers use i would be grateful. i am going to try and find the sniper rifle that the SASNZ SASR and SAS use.

Off the top of my head the most common is the Remington 700, probably oft modified or special version. They (SEALs etc.) use the Barrett .50 semiauto.

From memory, the (australian) SAS snipers don't have "standard" rifles to base from. They're expected to customise their own based on their experience with different ones. Since they're expected to be absolutely familar with them, big bucks are spent to get things right.

Shai Gar

but on the same note, australian sas(SASR) are expected to be well trained in a multitude of weaponry. and they should probably have some sort of base rifle no?

ah well i will listen to thee in this, and start my research into there
