as soon as the INTP forum gets back up, I'm going off on vacation for a week. But at least this thing hopefully won't be crashing every other hour when I get back.
Later folks...

but it's ok folks, don't feel too forlorn. The good news is I was gone for a week, missed all the turmoil, and now I'm back to provide you all with my captivating insight. I know you're all thrilled, but please restrain yourselves from causing a ruckus and distubring the introverts.
Oh, and hope you have a great vacation, CosmicDust!

I just got back from Maine. My grandpa has a plot on a pretty island there. It was nice weather, and interestingly, I discovered that I was really no more bored than usual when I went without internet for a week (although I did spend a lot of time around other people, which is rare for me), so I guess my addiction to the forums is probably as pointless and unproductive as any other addiction. Not that I'll quit if I don't have to, though.

I know what you mean, if I am at home around my computer I am addicted to the internet, but if I am not meh, no biggie, I dont really miss it and I will find something else to occupy my mind.

With the internet, I have to spend a lot of time or hardly none at all signed on. I won't spend, for example, just an hour a day on it. I'll only be skimming the surface (with little time to think about posts), failing to meet my satisfaction. I rather just stay off.

Where did you go in Maine. My family goes to Maine for a week or two once a year. We go to Wells Maine. It is cool. I miss the ocean. I live in a small town where there is nothing to do other than eat, drink ,shop or smoke. It is so boring here at times. We don't even have a movie theater or anything else like that. I have to go to another town to even go bowling. Oh well. B)

Vinalhaven island is where I went. It's a tad south and a fair bit west of Acadia National Park, but the driving distance between the two is much greater than the geodesic distance (which isn't that big). It's got lots of nice stuff - wild roses, tall balsam firs, fresh lobsters, fresh salt air.
Flan: your take on internet life is about the same as mine - I'm also "all or nothing." One hour on the internet is like trying to do a time limit on a baseball game or something.
