Heres a few of my drawings and stuff.. hardly real art, but it's the best of what i've done.. I'm a very picky chooser when it comes to showing my work online. Most of what I draw stays in my sketchbook (which i take everywhere..lol)

My very best pic (it got an Honorable Mention at the State Fair)so far:

Wow that first one is awesome. I am totally art-impaired, though. Critique? Uh, use more stick men? That's how I draw ...

you can draw but i don't think you've found your own distinct style yet, that's the most important thing. an artist with good drawing ability that does not saying anything or alter consciousness in their work, is i think less artistic than a artist with average drawing skills whose work says more... just as a song with great vocals and horrible composition, is worse than a song with average vocals and great composition. draw, paint, compose your observations, your philosophy, your dreams, etc. ... make composition/content the focus not drawing quality.

dragon lady is good.her cheeks are lovely
Did you use graphite pencils, or charcoal?Try using handmade paper with light weave for shades, the resultll be really cool.

try something like van gogh, it might come out good!!

Hmm... first one, it seems like... the top is more realistic than the bottom, if you know what I mean... if you put in as much detail on the dragon as you did on the face, I think it'd go a lot better. As it is now, the dragon looks like a cartoon.

eeps! ..sorry, i didn't make myself too clear on that.. see, where i come from (actually, what i've gotten used to) everybody makes thier own art thread to avoid confusion. So.. this one's for my stuff.. hope that's ok

You are absolutely right about that.. except that I'm kind of a perfectionist about my stuff, so right now I'm still in the experimenting stage.. Also, being an INTP, I can't really put emotion into a picture very well, it always comes off feeling somewhat.. fake (to me) the only exeption (i hope) being the 2nd one on here.
I also used to be alot more creative when i was younger.. I'd do little carttons with quirks and plays on words- I think I was more of an INFP then, and had an active imagination.. i still do sometimes, but now it's focused on things that can rarely be illustrated on paper.
Oh, and one more thing.. I've never taken any formal art classes, it's all been self taught, or remembering what my sisters have told me.

Thanks! (my last attemp at something like this was really lopsided, and the cheeks were shallow because i didn't shadow them right)
I used pencils for everything.. i just can't get the hang of charcoal yet.. probably 'cause I've never been taught how to properly use 'em. Hmm.. I've never tried much on heavily textured paper either..

ahhh, sadly, this is my first sucessful attempt at a dragon.. maybe my last.. I'm just never able to get the anatomy right... as it is, i prefer people. But i guess everyone needs to get out of thier comfort zone sometime.. and i shall, just as soon as i take an art class!!!
