Hello again

I never did get around to posting an intro in my own thread at the old forum. If you don't recognise me it's because I'm in hiding (or just changed my name for the heck of it). Whatever- Birnam/smIsle

I'm 19, female and live in rural Oregon. I just moved here from Denver and am having fun adjusting to a place where people have their own dump truck that they use solely on their own property. :blink:

Lets see- I'm interested in most things, but not so hot on math. I love learning languages but have not managed to make it far as of yet. I also like to doodle, though I've given up becoming the next Da Vinci. (My art (http://www.tumtumtree.net/art/index.htm))

I read in my spare time. I'll read most things, but I especially like fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction (and every possible combination of the three). (I need to qualify: I don't like cliché fantasy or SF, Roleplaying ripoffs or alien attacks are not on my to-read list.) I don't care for romances for the sake of romance (talk about a waste), most of the mainstream pop pulp stuff, or "modern literature" in most of it's forms. I also like to read non-fiction, all subjects.
If you counted how many books I've read since the beginning of the year you would get-

Pretty pictures. I think Da Vinci sucked at drawing, and he certainly sucks now. You can do better than him.

Ever read David Brin's Uplift novels? They are my favorite sci-fi. I haven't read a lot of sci-fi, though. In fact, I haven't read any sci-fi other than David Brin. D'oh.

Neat. I live near Denver and was just in Oregon a few weeks ago. It's SO beautiful from what I saw of it (around Medford). Wild blackberry bushes freaking everywhere. Like weeds! A lot of neat stuff to do there.

I live close to Denver now, and the interesting thing is, that I actually want to live in Oregon.
