View Full Version : Getting a nickname
So what's the rule on getting the "Senior Member" replaced with some sort of cool nickname?
I heard it was when someone gets to 1000 posts, but not everyone over 1000 posts has a nickname.
Are these only for mods? If so, why?
Also, since booyalab is getting close, what should her nickname be, provided she can have one (read "join the elite").

Maybe we can come up with a solution.
No one really seems to want to step up and be in charge of the the naming, so why don't we just say that when you hit 1000 posts you are eligable for a custom title. Someone can start a thread for you (Groty could start booya's being her mentor) you can start your own or you can choose your own title and pm it to an admin.
How does that sound?

The big question after this is done, is who gets to do Zedo's?

Shai Gar. And Edmond can return the favour.
Anyway Jim and I have both had threads started but they sort of got lost. Which is why I dread the idea of more and more threads cluttering up the board ( unless they went into a separate discrete determined forum ).

Also, for Claverhouse I think something really English specific, with Ninja.
So, like, Yorkshire Pudding Ninja (or any one of the horrible English foods). I am not sure it really encapsulates his posts, but he always signs with the phear emoticon.

1. Your nicknames are far too expensive.
2. Are you insinuating that my posts could be considered "spam"? I am hurt.

Lies! Slander! I am a royally appointed nickname creator!

No. I was merely saying that everything is spam.

It's kinky.
It's kinky.
But too kinky, I don't want melancholeric calling me a pornographer.

By the way, what in the world is your avatar?

It was an isolated incident, I swear! Most of the time it's quite zany to the degree what you could normally expect from fellow INTPs. Toilet humor isn't that common there.
(I'll be reaching 400 posts tonight if I keep up the current rate.)

We are strange creatures, aren't we? Sure it was scary to enter the channel for the first time, and Heero asked the typical "how are you". The natural born smartass then responded with "Super, thanks for asking!". After which we ended up discussing the comedy genius of trey Parker and Matt Stone.

The problem with the board is that you can send only one message every 30 seconds. It's annoying.

Why do YOU PEOPLE think there's a conflict between your type and your actions? It's not supposed to be a self-fulfilling prophecy (Esp. when inaccurate about what it means to be a type). Do what you will.
And all people are social creatures. It's a matter of degree.

I'm sure booyalab is spending hours each day working on my nick, so it should be absolutely gorgeous when complete.

I agree. I'm looking into why this stopped and will try to get it fixed.

OK. fc gave us a cool little tool, so if there's a naming to be done and I missed it, PM me.
the real question is what the hell should fc be nicknamed?
Well, anyone who needs a name has a thread dedicated to them, so suggestions should go there. :)

Yeah, we changed that by just naming people on this thread, boo and jimk so far. But whatever.

Yea, there was a process before, it just fell aside. If there's any better ideas we're open to them. Put them here:
