This week I rented Collateral and The Terminal.

Both movies star an actor named "Tom," with a 1 syllable last name.

Both movies have the actor Barry Shabaka Henley.

Both movies revolve around modes of transportation.

Both movie titles are 4 syllables long and end in "al."

Both movies have a part where one of the main characters gets in a cab, asks to go some place, and gives the driver specific instructions on how to get there faster.

I haven't seen The Terminal. What year was it made?

I think Mann is a bit of a post modernist movie maker, and wouldn't be above lifting items like that. And Collateral is a great bit of cinema if you haven't had the pleasure.

Interesting. I probably would have titled the thread "Interesting Coincidences in New Releases" instead of "Consipiratorial Connections in Movies," though . . ." ;)

ZDO:

This week I rented Collateral and The Terminal. And I'm not saying Mann stole any of Spielberg's content or vice versa. By conspiratorial I mean they're in it together man!

indie:
But it's clearly a conspiracy, coincidences are for the boring doubtful and ignorant masses that fall prey to the conspiracies in the first place!

What are the connections of these to the 9/11, the tsunami, and Paul McCartney's death in a car accident in 1966?

Don't forget about Princess Diana and the theory that we never really set foot on the moon at all. . .

The Terminal is based on a guy who lives in an airport in France and as far as I know, the whole of Collateral is fiction.

They are coincidences. Not a conspiracy.
