(Inspired by the What Are You Drinking Tonight Thread)

So, once upon a time, I used to loathe the people who'd eat anything other than burgers & dogs at sporting events. Nachos & pretzels are fine staples as well. Ice cream and cotton candy, if you so desire to eat sugar-coated cobwebs, would be acceptable but the mini pizzas were pushing it and don't even get me started on sushi.

These foods are great but they have their place. And under a stadium scoreboard is not one of them.

Faced with a 10 AM kickoff and expected heavy rains here in La La Land for tomorrow's Bronco game, rendering my grill useless, I'm fixing carnitas, scrambled eggs and pico de gallo for breakfast burritos. Though I'm not as particular as in my radical youth, some of the items I see people ordering these days at games really throws me. I was just wondering...

What foods do you like to eat when you go to a game?

What foods do you like to eat when watching a game at home/party/bar?

Any items that you would never order at a game?

Either a hot dog or nachos, depending on what kind of mood I'm in at a game.

It would be cool if one could get hot pies here like at British "football" games.

At home I'll usually eat some potato chips. Sometimes I'll make a plate of spaghetti.

I can't think of anything I would never order. All food is good. :)

Lots of alcohol, because then I will enjoy whatever boring sport is presented. Then I'd have some nachos and dog it.

nachos are always good.

I try to avoid buying stuff at games too expensive.

Actually, the best was in university. No one goes to our school's football games. Maybe 500 people on a good day. So on the saturday home games we would get up and head over to the field. One of my friends always wore an oversized novelty cowboy hat. Concealed in the top was a bottle of something, usually some sort of schnapps for some god unknown reason. Lots of drinking and heckling, good times.

What is the word on Moss? Will he be back (I couldn't watch the game, I was skiing)?

I don't understand the fascination with tradition . .. seems to me more options is the best thing that could happen. Maybe ya don't like sushi - I don't hotdogs, but I don't complain about them serving them. And most of the time I don't even get food cos it's too expensive. A coke maybe . . . then I go out afterwards.

Nachos are always good - the more processed the "cheese", the better.

I go to all of the Detroit Lions games and they have a great BBQ pork sandwich in the club section. The food (and the stadium) is better than the team.

PS to Vikings fans: you have to be really proud of Randy Moss.

Im so proud of him, I wanted to post a picture of him mooning the packers fans online. But I couldn't find one, just a bunch of whiny articles :P

Further up someone said they would like hot pies like at a British Soccer game (or football as we like to call it!).

Believe me, you wouldnt enjoy them....

We dont normally eat here at sporting occasions like football and rugby. We dont usually have someone selling anything, and in fact food and alcohol is usually banned in the seating areas. More likely to spend time in the pub before or after...

Most likely because the crowd would be tempted to throw the food at each other or on the field once the brawl starts. I know about you hooligans.
