Just today at lunch I was sitting at the table with two girlfriends(I think). L was trying to figure out a way to ask this boy out to a school dance thats coming up. C made this semi-disgusted face, so I laughed. Of course I always do this so they ask why I laughed. I said I was laughing at the face she made. No matter what I tryed to say, she just stayed pissed off at me?
Has this ever happened to you?

No. Since:
I have no girlfriends
I never went to a school dance
I don't laugh at people's faces.

I never meant it in that way.
Well perhaps that why they were offended.
She may not have believed that.
Are you suggesting that the females in this forum are lying about their IQs?

how is this an example of everything you say being taken wrong??? (how is it possible to provide an example of something always happening)
But what do I know, I'm just a stupid girl.

By the way,the types of girls that talk about that stuff take those conversations very seriously. So in their serious mindset they were probably offended by your laughing and thought you were making fun of this 'serious matter'. There's no reason behind it, alot of girls are just that way. They'll get over it.

See, see!
That is not a sentence. :p edit: or maybe it is, would it be more proper to say "look"? or one "see" or two sees separated by another exclamation point, yeah.

It happens to me often. People just don't understand us. What can you do? They're the majority...

label yourself a chuckelhead, and say that you laugh when your nervous sometimes or for any reason at all...

Yes...but not in that way...I usually make up crap in order to get out of those situations.
Try it one time, it works and they leave you alone.
My problem is being stone-cold honest...people never get the old "yes, in fact, you are dying every second", they don't like it.

Hopefully she'll get over it. If she stays mad at you over that would you really want her as your friend anyway?

I was refering to the girls in the school I'm at, not you or the other girls at this site.

I do. They usually don't like it, or don't understand what I said.

haha, i love this!!
Being a girl doesnt mean they are stupid or get you wrong, stupidity is not XY exclusive.morons come in all shapes, sizes, ages, colour and sex.
Maybe it was just because she didnt expect such a reaction at that time.
That brings me to my pearls of wisdom
"Dont say nothing, if you want no trouble" or its corollary
"If you say something, most people hear you asking for trouble"
