I'm thinking of starting to do some outdoor photography, with a couple of far-fetched moneymaking ideas in the back of my mind...as a complete novice, what kind of camera do I want (i.e. what are the different levels in terms of price, quality, etc)...is there a renowned book on the topic that I should read, do you have a fave website, etc.

thanks y'all :joft:

Try Circuit City, Best Buy, etc. They'll help you learn why the most expensive camera is always what you want out.

Nah, don't try them. They will help rip you off. I know a guy in Charlottesville, Va on the east coast good for this sort of thing.

Are you going to try to get a calendar published? I would love to do that.

My advice, get on a photography forum and see what other posters have said similar to what you are trying to do. The graphic design forum I frequent now has helped me learn about the field at incredible speed.

There was a great website that let users review cameras, but I cannot find it.

Poking around some in the search engines should let you find it, or something similar.
