This is one of my pictures of some bees at work in a flower.
Am figuring out how to show more of my pics at higher resolution.
I have a Kodak dx7590 wich i am very happy with. All comments welcome.

Hmm, lovely colours..I like how you've cropped the photo. I have an new Olympus C8080W. I'm looking forward to exploring the world of macrophotography. I owned an Olympus C2020Z for over 4 years. I was quite happy with it.

Nice photos of you as well in the other thread ... ;)

Vibrant flower or voracious sarlacc? ;P
I like pretty colors - is that a hyacinth? not sure what one looks like in real life yet.
(nope, guess not. I like google)

*sparkly* I don't think I ever saw a bee, on a flower, so close before (I just realized, I've assumed that they're like dogs, when eating, irritable if someone steps too close)

The colours in your photo are strikingly pretty too, int.

Are you familiar with the uhh nursery rhyme that goes
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree, merry merry king of the bush is he, laugh, Kookaburra laugh, Kookaburra, gay your life must be.
Yup, it's the merry merry king, caught on digifilm at the Henry Doorly Zoo of Omaha.

let's see if he can show up in enlarged splendor

The glass inadvertently gave that snowy look, and I realize the pic itself doesn't really match the uhh caliber of the other pics on this page, but since you wondered and I think it's kinda cute in uhh a manly way of course. Kinda like a fatheaded duckling.

Looks like he has been preened and plumped for the viewing public. When you see them in the wild they are dirtier and more scraggly. But still majestic. The number of times I have been woken at dawn by their cackling....
My favourite Australian bird would be the black cockatoo though.

I enjoyed the bee photos earlier in the thread. I havent really gotten into the closeup stuff, but I like bees! (more than wasps like me, anyway).

Nice work!
