... This is the announcement :

Are you ready to celebrate INTP Central's first birthday? Festivities will include :

- Brand new topics discussing issues that are essential to the well-being of modern INTPs !

- Possible revelation about the secrets of the universe !

- A day-long IRC chat in #intp !

- Virtual food and drinks provided by me (Clara) - and others

... and, of course, the virtual lynching of Heero! "after all, it's not like we have to be in the same room or anything"

Let's see if we can't give our INTP Central the birthday present it has always wanted :

Most users ever online: 200 on January 15, 2005

NB: I probably missed some members - not everyone's profile accepts pm's
and, many of those who've never posted got left out of the mailing ... sorry if you're a frequent anonymous guest.
Also, if I accidentally sent two copies to someone - I couldn't remember a few times, where I'd stopped. Ditto if I missed you, and your messages aren't blocked. Not intentional at all.
(And the member who was unhappy to get a first draft... well, I thought you'd appreciate it - I was wrong about that.)

Oh, and, inspired by your posts on clutter, I didn't keep the mailing list

Party (keep breathing, not a _true_ party) in #intp chatroom, I'll set mode -t and people can even change the topic even if it does end up like something: "Welcome to INTP Central. Heero sucks, let's all lynch him!" :)

Noooo - in the *forums* (oh, whatever - I'm baking cakes, but haven't learned how to send them, yet)

Of course, ideas for posts, threads - and goodwishes for those who make the forums possible - would be good to bring, too.

Nevermind the topic, do we actually get to lynch you?

Let's start a poll and see what the people say...haa haa

Maybe we can start a tradition where every year someone is cyber-lynched.

Congratulations to Clara for noticing: with a bit more notice we could have prepared a festschrift with every member saying exactly what Finland means to them, or listing their entire knowledge of the place.

But with the boss rarely here, it's difficult to say what would please her, except perhaps, thanks.

Claverhouse, you didn't research that YET ? ;)

(I'm not the only one to have noticed*... I'm just the one to have sent a pm each and every one of you :D - because, if you didn't even know, how ucky would that be? And the rest of us would have eaten and drunk too much... no,no,no, not a good plan.)

I don't know about you, but I get cake. (I just remembered that my birthday is coming up again. I should probably remember that date, but I use it so rarely...)

mmm cake. It is almost 8pm and I have not eaten yet. Why I am telling you this is beyond me, I am just bored at work and very hungry and I want some cake too.

I got carrot cake at school today. I even made it last night when I was half dead and falling over. I heart demonstration speeches, esp. when the props are edible.

Yeah...I have to talk to you Clara...

Good idea, dunno if I will be there...but, have fun and please think of things to entertain...the chats get boring soon these days...u.u.

Clara

Avengardh - *ME* hey ... what, everybody's going to come and act like g-u-e-s-t-s ? Uhh, no.

If anyone else, reading this, shares that strange idea... you missed the thread where I posted that I was (politely) kicked out of the Texas-what-do-you-call-it room, over Christmas... that I did have a lot of fun, entertaining babies, though.

So, I hope some others are thinking up original and entertaining topics and games to astound and amaze us, because tomorrow, I'm baking cakes. ;)

Thanks for the invite. You'll have to forgive my cyber-clumsiness, though. Not sure exactly what a virtual party is. Chat room with lots of people in it? I have only used the chat functions on my computer a couple times and found it confusing, with messages appearing over dialogue boxes that I was still typing in. The chats I was in rewarded people with the shortest messages, and punished windbags like me by burying them under the confetti of these others. Still, I'm always flattered to be invited to gatherings of intelligent people. Maybe i'll get involved in it. I've learned much more about how this group actually operates, now that my feet are wet. It's kind of like therapy, which is one of the big reasons why the people in it DON'T meet one another in person. You can be so much more frank with people, if you see them as an "outsider". Someone you're not likely to be involved with, but whose opinion you respect. I'm particularly interested in Biff_Loman. I'll have to get a dialogue going with him. He's open to therapy from others who are sincere, and he gives others his own advice, and meaningful encouragement vs. pollyanna. So do many others, of course, but somehow his comments especially resonate. He is very insightful, and has the courage to present his goofs and fears as well as his strong side. K

I put it in the Playground, under one of the picnic tables. ;)

Admit it, it's because biff is so kinky. You don't have to make excuses.

Happy Anniversary! Break out the disposable Glad fountain glasses and pour the sparkling apple cider in champagne bottles. Maybe the bosses will let us go home early today...

Oh wait, it's Saturday. Break out the hard stuff. Oh, and I want a corner piece of the cake.
