That is an interesting one... There are so many things which happen in the Palestinian territories which goes completely unreported. Or it does, but the IDF report comes out too late for people to care.

I don't deoubt this happens, but you can say the same about anywhere. how much do you think happens in Tibet or Chechnya or Sierra Leone that no-one ever hears about? The neo-cons are always accused of overly focusing on certain specific targets, and I'd agree that our media does lean too heavily on Iran and Islam and ignore other parts of the world, but what about so many people who focus disproportionately on Israel? This hypocrisy is rarely pointed out You can say it's because we fund Israel, but in effect we fund a lot of regimes, and they fund us, so I think that's a weak argument.. As he says in this video, this UN commission has only ever condemned one country - no prizes for guessing which. That does seem absurd.

Just got around to viewing this. Excellent speech. Israeli/Arab politics aside, the UN is a complete farce and synonymous with hypocrisy. It's nice to see somebody come out and say so.

I like the way the president got all outraged. "Hey, your f**king with my meal ticket!"
