Too true about the chameleon. Here is a neat description of a greatest thing in the animal kingdom.

http://www.chameleonsonline.com/interaction.php

Maybe we could have a chameleon deep in thought doing something INTP like.

I tried "Intellectual Chameleon" in Google Images with no luck. I didn't look hard enough though.

{Vile, evil images of clowns removed.}

What the hell is wrong with you people? Clowns are satanic and oh so very, very wrong. Clowns cause cancer of the id. Yeah, that's it. Anything... just no clowns.

Maybe we need a clown trap -- you know, one of those little cars. Clowns seem to all want to pack into those just like flies into a bug zapper.

(Then we just drive it off a cliff or into a junkyard compactor.)

This makes me think of some kind of unholy union between Edward the Confessor and his father King Ethelred the Unready.

What kind of boring-ass things must I have floating around in my head?

His description:

William is a single, bearded gay rationalist who has lived in New Zealand all his life. He currently works part-time as a teachers' aide.
His interests include recreational mathematics, astronomy, natural history of New Zealand, science fiction, and Don Rosa's comic work, and he tries not to spend too much time on the Internet.

Is Einstein a mascot? He seems more like the patron saint of INTP.

Yoda does have the advantage of having a marketing empire already in place. Makes it easier for everyone to display the mascot by their computer.

Well in that case, I already have a Cmdr. Data* action figure on my desk sitting in a lounge chair with a martini in his hand. Can I just use that for myself instead?

*Yes, I know, Data may or may not be an INTP.

That trumps the stone I keep by my monitor. I was hoping we could keep whatever we have, then add whatever mascot INTPc determines will best represent the forum. Given the nature of INTPism, it should be several years before anything is decided. Add at least another year or two in order to figure out if the choice was the correct one. If they do happen to pick Data, I'll set the Enterprise next to my computer, confident that he is in there, somewhere.
