You're right, I forgot to give you credit for the likes of Don Cherry. I'm glad I can get CBC so that I can hear him and Ron Mclean trade barbs every Saturday Night. Well, I could until the lockout.

Now we just have Ron McLean introducing movies on Saturday nights. Pretty funny actually, you would think they would just give him a damn vacation.

Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you

I don't mean a phone

Geeze! How can you get these things to stick with a post number and not start at the top of the page?
Well you can right click on the numbers at the right top of the post (the one you just wrote was 35) and tell it to open in a new window/tab. Then you copy the new link and... well there it is.
For example this link will lead you to number 24 of this thread (which you wrote as well): http://forums.intpcentral.com/showpost.php?p=61362&postcount=34
There is another way but it's slightly more complicated so I'd just use this one.

Not so much "what", but "why". Basically, the reason for collapse of the Soviet Union is a highly controversial and debated issue, and the ultimate reasons are not common knowledge. It was Santa. I am not sure how he did it, but, you know, it couldn't have been difficult for him. The reasons...

( Conveniently ignoring CC's delusions about Santa. Santa is loyal to no one but his country. )
Santa and his contribution to the Soviet Union's eventual demise
In january 1985, Norway's military intelligence noticed a missile flying in their airspace, heading to Santa's homeland, northern Finland. They warned the Finnish military beforehand, but that proved futile. The Finnish Airforce had problems. After all, it was cold. In fact, so old that Russian MIG planes ( that Airforce used back then ) engines didn't start.
The missile hit Lake Inari, penetrating the ice and sinking. It didn't apparently contain any explosives. Finnish goverment tried to keep thing quiet, afterall they had screwed thing up big time by proving the vulnerability of the country. Norwway, however, informed the world about this some two days after the incident.
It quickly became a global news item.
Russians claimed that it was merely an accident, and this was widely accepted explanation. ( Goes to show how reliable Russian technology and know-how was considered. They just "accidently" fire a test missile to another country. )
It was not an accident, Soviets tried to test Finlands defence abilities, just in case they some day decided to attack. Given the Finland - Soviet relations at the time, both parties probably knew that this was the case, and were fully aware of each others knowledge, but nothing of the sort was said aloud.
However, Santa knew. And as you can see from his expression, he was not happy. The ultimate patriot, ready to defend his country against the aggressor when the goverment was bowing down to East.
And mere 7 years later, the USSR no longer existed. Santa did it.
Here's the missile. And Santa.

Hmm... What did you mean by "Of Souls" and you just couldn't do it you felt like a whore?

I meant that kopelli's nickname should be ...Of Souls
Which is also a game, that one could argue is primarily used to increased post count. It's in the playground, I am surprised it hasn't been stickied to the top.

Oh, right. How did this thing of posting a lot get started anyway? Was that attitude here before you got here? It totally is very quiet at the INFP site as compared to over here. But there is a lot of chat like posts (like this one) here as well. It's as if people just sit for hours in front of the computer. (I started on here when the INFP site was down and I was really bored at work. I had been lurking here for a month before I posted.)

Manwhore, thank you. There's a difference.
"I didn't do it for the money... (postcount, whatever...) it just felt soooo good..."
It hasn't needed to be stickied, as it's too popular. I haven't seen it ever leave the first page since I started it.
